Why do people hate Maguire I thought he was OK tonight, I just don't get it. Wan basaka at fault first goal. He can't handle not playing in back 4 DDG at fault for the third. Ole at fault for not changing the formation quick enough. Just don't think tactically he's up to it Thought vidic was poor , why bring back shaw for such an important game. He can't be match fit I think a battering by City and he's on his way , Project Ole over for me VIDIC? Wish we had a Vidic |

I went to bed at HT vs Istanbul, I was absolutely perplexed the next morning when I saw Fred had received an inevitable second yellow and was sent off.
Ole is naïve, and tactically I'm not sure he has what it takes to make United a top-tier team again.
Great man-manager and motivator at times, and he really ''gets'' the club and its history, but is that enough?

His key job is to win things, not stumble at semi finals, not be so poor at tactics. Anyone with any football acumen would have said we should have attacked them yesterday, put some fear in them not sit back and play so defensively. Like you say look what happened with Fred. The players were darn poor but Ole has hit his limit he won’t take anyone to the next level of success. |

Christ I've only just noticed Fosu Mensah came on aswell. So we needed goals, had Mata,James, Ighalo christ even Lingard on the bench as attacking options and he brought on 3 defenders.
Cant get head around it.

I watched only second half , we played decent football.
Maguire and de gea responsible for the 3rd goal , they are not good enough to be the most expensive defender and the highest paid keeper.
Maguire is never going to justify that pre-covid inflated price tag , but he did look much better than this ,also this was the same player wanted by Jose.
We have to look into the coaching setup to see why he regressed.

I know it's a game of opinions, but what match were you watching?! Does everyone not remember just how shit we were defence wise before he arrived. Every game we were all over the place the ball was like a hot potato. I just don't see him as being the problem. But like you say its all about opinions we’ve shipped 10 goals in 6 CL games this season we’ve shipped 17 goals in 10 PL games this season it’s safe to says it’s worse than anything what Jones,smalling and rojo offered |

I don't think Zidane is a particularly good manager, but he did seem to temporarily lift Real from a hollow point and went on to win a few things. Not that you can compare the two, mind! |

We needed to score at least 3,he subbed our best attacking fb ,bought on Axel,TFM & William's ,three defensive players when were chasing game. |

Setting up with 8 defenders is a total disgrace. That isn’t the “Man Utd” way. Shambles and he deserves to be sacked. Absolutely pathetic.

If the club had appointed Steve Bruce or mark hughes when Jose was sacked most Utd fans would have been kicking off left right and centre but they have as much of this “getting the club” bollocks as ole and they both had more pl experience. |

Playing Luke Shaw, when half fit by the looks of it, over Axel must send the poor young lad all sorts of negative messages, and i'm sure some will say it was for balance as he's left footed etc. but do me a favour, they're professional footballers ffs, i expect them to be able to comfortably pass and kick long with either foot.
As for our whole defensive unit, utter fuckin shambles with no leadership whatsoever and the midfield in front of them are very limited footballers, as Man United we should be doing far better, have we not got any ball players at our club?

I get playing a Ronaldinho, ronaldo, Messi, de bruyne, zidane, scholes, ruud that are just returning from injury but no our manager played luke shaw! What was he thinking, clueless management that should be rewarded with the sack.
I am so annoyed with Ole, genuinely he has ruined it for me really has
