I honestly wouldn't have blamed Donny if he just refused to come on there. That's nothing more than a complete piss take. What on Earth is he expected to do in 3 mintutes. I cant agree with you Daz. though i agree with the sentiment, i cant abide by a player refusing to play. If he does that all the sympathy he has garnered for his perplexing treatment is evaporated and we the fans will turn against him. his professionalism is showing Ole up at this point. If its even 10 seconds, go on, play hard, and let the rest of us question Ole. Agree, I'm just venting more out of anger than actual common sense. I'd have been pissed with him if he'd actually refused to come on. But a small part of me would have thought "fair enough" if I'm being honest.

We were shite and desrved to lose.. the Ole shine was shown up to be false...this was a test of where we are at and we fell woefully short...
If anyone thinks we are title contenders then you need to seriously reconsider...
Btw...this may have been Bruno’s worst game for us...
Not decrying Bruno but it just goes to show that we cannot handle it if he falls below his wonderful best...

What does it say about ole if he is holding some grudge against van de beek. Pretty bad form and if Jose had done it he would be lambasted. I think he is a really good player. Fuck knows what he's done wrong

Do we do any actually coaching? how goals have we conceded from set pieces? unforgivable. that’s been sorted now by hiring another ex player that gets the club

When VDB signed there was a lot of talk of "Why spend 40M on him when you have Bruno and Pogba? He's not needed and won't play".
I honestly laughed at people saying this, I thought we'd seen how Bruno's level fell off in the last weeks of the season as we limped home, and recognised that he needed a break sometimes and getting a player like this in meant that could actually happen now. Bruno wouldn't be ran into the ground, VDB would get game time and do well, we wouldn't be completely reliant on one player doing everything anymore. You know, I thought we'd used actual common sense and good footballing intelligence for once.
God how wrong I was.

Lindelof back, we look shaky at the back. No coincidence.

Is Donny really that shit in training? Because he sure hasn’t had enough game time to justify being dropped on performance.
Had an absolute shit day and this has topped it off. 2 steps forward and 3 back with this current group. Time and time again.

Martial needs to be played up top or not at all.
He's not a striker. Last season I hoped that would kick start him but hes gone backwards again.
Maguire and Lindelof doesn't work. Needs to be Maguire and Bailly.
Rashford needs to stop trying so hard. Hes got bundles of talent, stop trying to force it and doing too much.
Found a lot of times when we had the ball in the middle of the pitch players were just standing around, very little movement from any of our attacking players.

The worst part is how all laughably predictable it was.
Maguire and Lindelof back together in one of the worst centre back pairings ever seen at modern Manchester United despite the superior options in the squad.
Shoehorning two defensive midfielders into a four-man box midfield then still being totally bypassed in midfield anyway.
Nonsensical substitutions made too late to make a difference anyway.
Pogba.
No set piece organisation.
No leadership.
No ideas when things inevitably went wrong.
Hot air bullshit afterwards.

Never mind. Fletcher will sort out the defence. He has the DNA apparently.

These are tonys stats for the league, games and goals. Sorry but he's just not good enough. We would be better off with tony Robinson up front at least he would have a cunning plan.
2020-21 12 2
2019-20 32 17
2018-19 27 10
2017-18 30 9
2016-17 25 4
2015-16 31 11

Quite a few square pegs in round holes and quite unnecessarily aswell.
Didnt think we played that badly in this to be honest. We just didn't have the cutting edge when it came to finishing chances...again.
Mistakes were made on and off the pitch. Ole playing Martial as a No.9 is pointless, either play him left or bench him.
Apart from the first goal Maguire was solid but he needs a different partner which should have been Bailly. Maguire and Lindelof just don't work. My only criticism of Maguire atm is his inability to hit the target with his massive dome head. He should be netting Ramos numbers a season with the chances he gets.
Bruno needs to be rested on Saturday and Donny needs to start.
I will say I enjoyed Shaw bullying Cancelo putting him on his arse. Im really liking Shaw this season.
I think Donny will get his chances but he needs to be playing more now, not when Pogba decides to finally fuck off. I get Ole has to use his squad with the games we've had 8 in 25 days is a lot. But Donny hasn't playing nearly as much as he should have.

To have hit 15+ only once, and have a 1 in 3 record in the league, 1 in 3.5 in all comps. Just not good enough, at all. He needs to be back up to Rashford on the left, and a new striker has to come in in the summer. Sometimes it's not just about scoring goals, the RVN - Saha debate from a few years ago showed that. RVN was one of the greatest strikers I've ever seen and his record was outstanding. Saha's goal record paled in comparison. But United were just a better team with Saha in it, he did so much more for the team than just score. Martial does little for the team and isn't a regular enough scorer. If we could recoup 40M for him I'd be letting him leave, if not have him as back up to Rash and about 4th choice striker behind the new signing (hopefully), Cavani and Greenwood.

Proper owners would be looking to strengthen this month and push on. We will never get united back with these cunts in charge ps apparently Ed has had a big pay rise Get Rid of ole first, this team has carried him as far as they could. From here on we can only fade in the title race.
