i dont get this weakened liverpool team craic. Fabinho has arguably been one of the best CBs in the league when hes played in that position. hes better than Matip and Gomez there so they missed Van Dijk.
in midfield they had their new signing in Thiago who is one of the best football players in the world.
the forward line maybe mis-firing but a forward line that still won the champions league and can still score goals.
so 2 players missing in theory as henderson couldnt play midfield.
compare that to our side who are still missing probably 2 positions at minimum and a manager who has had half the time of klopp.

They were mortified to be within touching distance of the ball and gave it away as quickly as they could. Perhaps the manager is managing the fragility of his squad, because expecting this lot to come, see and conquer is madness.

This is a team that has blown 4 semi-finals, so they have to overcome the “bottler label”, so naturally they’re going to be more nervous. This goes for the players and Ole. A cup and good finish in the league is a must this year. |

We didn’t lose which is a plus but the reaction of the players says it all.
They expected to win this and they know they could have done more to thus why the dressing room was so flat.
I can’t understand why people are trying to dress this up.
1 point is better than none, there were some top performances from the Likes of shaw and some poor from the likes of martial but all in all a win was definitely expected.
Once I saw Henderson in defence and shaqiri playing I thought we would take them
Anyway on to the next game.

i think both nev and cara both had a point. before the game youd have taken a point but after the game it feels like points dropped. cant have it both ways. as long as we move on and win the next games and keep ourselves above them its progress. still think the main target this year is top 4/push the league leaders and a cup. then hopefully the board will finally get the last couple of signings that are required and we will look a proper outfit next season without shoehorning players into positions they dont play. they won’t though. they will invest(the clubs own money)if top 4 looks beyond the current squad. Winning the league or champions league is of no interest to them |

You can see why Ashton is a hired hand,leaking false transfer briefs,some people then cling to great transfer myths these myths  There is a reason why they have not held an investors conference call this 1/4 & it wasn't to cover up any good news! |
