Nice win, made it harder than it should have been but still.
I have no clue what to do about Martial. He showed last season that on form he's a very good forward, but his head just appears gone now, does dropping him help him or just fuck his confidence even further? I'd just have him out the team if I'm honest, he can be on the bench and get starts in the Europa. In the league, we need our strongest attacking line up, which is clearly Cavani as 9, Rashford 11, Bruno 10 and then A.N.Other as 7.
Shaw has managed to make himself the best left back in the Premier League so fair play to him, really responded positively to Telles arrival, great to see.
40 points and safe!

Would've liked to see us put the game to bed but good to see us continue to show some grit at the same time. Thought we actually played well after that early goal. Especially considering we were playing with 10 men and a man light in attack seems Martial failed to show up again. He absolutely needs to rest Bruno. Fucking rest him against the Scouse on Sunday if needs be. I expect they won't go full strength with a game tomorrow then away to Spurs midweek the week after. Think if he's gonna rest him it'll be against Sheff Utd. Cant see him resting him against the vermin.

Fucking infuriating player Cavani puts him to shame work wise.

To be fair, Pogba has been outstanding since his fat agent shot his mouth off. If he’s gonna play like this every week, pay him what he wants.
Can we cut out this name calling every time Ole doesn’t pick Bailly. He was awful tonight and almost cost us the match.
VdB isn’t the first player RoM has anointed the second coming if only the *insert pejorative here* manager wasn’t an *insert other pejorative here.* Tosic, Ljajic, Januzaj spring to mind. Perhaps the manager does actually know know more than us. Just a thought.
Also, just so I’m clear, a club legend has come back to manage us when we were complete trash, has us top of the league, which hasn’t been done since Fergie, and there are people on this board who habitually call him every name in the book and want him sacked. Furthermore, they hope he wins the league so he can leave. That is what I just read, right?

Fred is a monster. Never, ever stops running, pressing and fighting. He needs to get a lot more love on here. He reminds me a lot of Hardgreaves. Work rate incredible and he’s great at doing the simple things. Just wish he had a bit more vision going forward.

Didn’t see the game through work commitments but have seen Pogba’s goal. What a stunner! I still want him gone as he will revert to type sometime soon, but credit when due, he’s been putting in the hard yards recently.

Fucking infuriating player Cavani puts him to shame work wise. Martial needs dropping altogether and not because of getting a rest. Hes been awful for the majority of this season. Continues much more id rather throw in Diallo now. Put him on the right, Rashford on the left and Cavani up front. It won't happen but its what should happen.

Bailly should have done better. Lookman should never have had that much space regardless of whether AWB played him onside. That being said barring that one mistake neither of them had as bad a game as people are making out.

Rashford and Martial could learn plenty about making and timing runs, scoring proper CF goals, and being in the right place to score those scrappy goals like he did today.

Its unjust on other players if you keep picking him, only for him to keep performing so badly. There is no tactical reason for him playing either.

Martial just doesn't have it. Too often people talk about a player not having the right mentality and I often think it's just a really shit way of dumbing down your assessment of a player's qualities but this is one occasion where it's absolutely bang on.
We know he's extremely talented but what's between his ears means he just doesn't look like he'll ever get to that next level. Squad player at best but I'd seriously be looking at selling him. Could see him go back to France and bang in 20 a season with the pressure off against lesser opposition.

Clear talent, no question. But just can't apply it consistently over an extended period of time. I'm happy to have him here as a squad player but wouldn't shed any tears about him going either, price depending.
