I think Ole's deficiencies as a manager are exactly why bringing in Trippier (assuming we can get him for a reasonable price) could be a good idea. He won't need much integration into the first team because he's used to the Premier League and is experienced enough to hit the ground running. He'll also get a lot more games because of his status as an England international and his ability to play on both flanks. And his ability to play almost as a wing back will help us break down smaller teams and improve the service to Cavani. And as Trippier has had expert coaching from Simeone and Pochettino he can perhaps pass some of it on to AWB. Telles is a classy player no doubt but he'll never get a game ahead of Shaw who is one of Ole's undroppables. Just as Donny will never get a game so long as Ole continues to think McFred=balance and indulges Pogba. Would be sad to lose both but the only way Ole is going to rotate his squad is if he brings in players he likes and can hit the ground running. He would be a good signing in my opinion, he's an experienced player who's won trophies and unlike many English players, he's gone to another league and been successful. Our left back spot has enough competition but AWB has gone unchallenged and that's never a good thing for any professional. If we signed Tippier, you would have to say AWB will be spending time on the bench unless he goes up a level. Saying all that why are we talking about signing fullbacks?

Just La Liga this year for him isn't it?

A free run at Sancho again, yet still dragging it out. Almost as if there's a tournament going on and his coach has said no one is having medicals during it. That would make sense if this hadn’t been rumbling on for twelve months.

I’d take Ramos in a heartbeat, even if it’s just a season.

It would be pure Ramos if he left to join Atleti
Not even getting hopes up that we're in for him

I’d take Ramos in a heartbeat, even if it’s just a season. Would make sense given Axel’s off on loan…

Ashton fooled most,he briefed we are in for a Madrid CB who wanted out of the club & the majority actually thought it was £50 -£60 mill Varane. We were never paying that kind of money, when there is a freebie on the table Ramos can fuck off, well past it & he had chance a few seasons back, instead he just used us to up his new deal at the time.

I think we genuinely are in for Varane; if one of the best players on the planet in his position becomes available, and for a not unreasonable at all price, and just so happens to be in a position we're desperately in need of quality in, and we're not interested, then just end the entire club and give up now. Lock it down, sell the fixtures and fittings, it was nice knowing you guys, fun whilst it lasted and all that. But, PSG will probably offer him more money, and a better chance of winning the Champions League again (and a much better chance of winning a title), so he'll go there.
