£40m + Lingard for Trippier and Saul would be a nice way to finish off our player recruitment for the summer.

If Lingard has the balls to go over to Spain I will have to give him some serious credit.

If Lingard has the balls to go over to Spain I will have to give him some serious credit. It could be the making of him... ...and if we could get Saúl and Trippier coming the other way it would be brilliant business for us...

From what (journo transfer bollocks) I’ve read,Trippier seems ‘convinced’ about making the switch to us. Maybe he’s been told something we haven’t ,Maybe Jesse is part of the deal? Oh these transfer machinations, my muppet’s exhausted by it all .

That's 15m for the Brentford goal alone

Do they not mean 20 quid?
Christ, regardless of length of contract, I don't think I want to live in a universe where Varane is only worth double Andreas Perreira.

They can't seriously ask 20m for Pereira ffs, we'll never get rid of the dead wood if we're valuing bang average players at stupid prices, I wouldn't pay 10m for him

It is not even internally consistent. If we are asking for £25-£30m for Lingard who has been a decent squad player for us over the years and shown at West Ham that he is capable of a starring role in a smaller club then it is madness to expect £20m for Pereira who has underwhelmed throughout his career both with us and on his various loan moves.
I'd suggest a loan move to Lazio with obligation to buy at the end of the year for around £10m (to give them some time to raise the cash). And if they are still hesitant and no one else is interested we should at least try and get a loan fee if they want to extend another year....a few million and his wages off our books is better than nothing. They can't seriously ask 20m for Pereira ffs, we'll never get rid of the dead wood if we're valuing bang average players at stupid prices, I wouldn't pay 10m for him

When Lingard left the club, most of us were over the moon and would have sold him for a crate of beer and some cigars but he's been quality for West Ham and would justify 25m to 30m in the current market. The club obviously needs to find money to sign more players. Your not going to make alot of money if you sell them for peanuts. Even the Pogba fee is only in the region of 45-50m if you can believe the press. You'd be spending all that to sign Saul when you really need to buy two players because we are already light in midfield.

also worth noting, saul signed a 9 year contract a few years back and has probably got 5-6 years left.
