For reasons that I probably can’t explain fully, I love that deano throws on a hat pretty commonly when needed. He’s not fussed about looking silly, strictly thinking about function.

I obviously hate this Super League concept but I find it hilarious that the Premier League can bang on about teams dreaming of reaching the top and principles of fairness when they allow a fucking nation state to buy one of its clubs. Not to mention the premier league in 1992 did exactly what the super league are proposing Martin Tyler actually said in the first half when talking about the first game in the Premier League, 'Back where it all began'. Then goes on to act affronted by the idea of a breakaway super league.

Spot on but this idea discriminates against just about every facet of football, we should protect what little hertiage the game has left. How do you qualify for this damn thing anyway? Spurs dont have two nickles to rub together and have won fuck all, yet they are offered the chance to join a super league and not Leicester. Its a farce and participatation for players should be meet with a ban from WCs and CLs. Everyones making a fucking fortune already. Its just greed for the sake of it. How do city qualify? They've only existed for 13 years. To their credit, they declined to join this monstrosity.

Neville makes some good points but it’s worth noting he does part own a club with a foreign billionaire

This super League will be great to be fair if the money is correct, imagine us getting hundreds of millions and investing it back in the the squad and stadium, make ouraelf the biggest club in the world again.
Oh actually those leeches will just rinse us fucking dry like they already are, and leave us in a right shit heap.

Btw- Joel Glazer is supposedly right at the forefront in pushing this. im not surprised because the gimps get the CL money each season and don’t even have to buy a single player to get there. We’ll finish in the bottom half of this every season but they won’t give two fucks.
