I hadn’t realised until this morning how dreadful our record at OT against this lot is. A win of any description will do, then we have a full week (practically) before Leeds. Strongest team possible and a decent start for once please.

Please win. It's an incredibly thin hope, but if City lose to Villa then they'll start to be worrying and we need to do all we can to put that pressure on.
But realistically the most important thing is no injuries ahead of the Europa semi week after next. If Ole decided to rest Bruno for this and Leeds I'd support him, but sadly there's more chance of the Glazers selling the club this summer than that.

If the owners had any interest in actually winning things, a chase like the one we produced at the end of 2006, might convince them that one or two top drawer signings could make us genuine challengers next year. Sadly, a chase like that would only convince them that Ole has exactly what he needs and should just get on with it. |

We've tended to run out of steam towards the end of the season under Ole. So this would be a good opportunity to break that habit and finish strongly. And while they would have to have an epic meltdown not to win the title at least if we keep the pressure on it will make it that much harder for them to win the triple.
Of course Europa is the priority and today would be a good opportunity to rest Rashford and Bruno and Maguire especially as Axel and Donny looked good midweek and Pogba is thriving on the left and Cavani is banging them in and even Mata is back in the mix. But of course difficult to see it happening especially as we don't have a midweek game.
I can see Jose pulling off a surprise. He will relish the opportunity to use spoiler tactics and deny Pep a trophy and in a cup final I'm sure the squad will be able to put their differences aside and pull together.
I am not convinced they will win the Champions League either. They've had an easy run to the semis and have yet to face the kind of firepower PSG have at their disposal and then in the final they'd probably face Real Madrid who always seem capable of producing something extra in the final and doing whatever it takes to win and I don't think City really have that steel about them.
