Drew at KP Stadium 2-2 earlier this season, lost FA Cup vs them, losing again tonight. Terrible record vs Rodgers. Haven’t dealt with corners properly most of season, real issue.

Drew at KP Stadium 2-2 earlier this season, lost FA Cup quarters vs them, losing again tonight. Terrible record vs Rodgers. Haven’t dealt with corners properly most of season, real issue. Poor defensive coaching and a goalkeeper whos feet have been nailed to the goal line never help. Their second goal was very similar to the one Vincent company scored for city against us 10 years ago. |

Meh, guess I put too much faith in the squad players.
More clear signs that a heap just not good enough. Yeah Leicester are 3rd, but they also found themselves 4 down at home to Newcastle last time out.

If we don't win a point in next 3 and Chelsea win 2 we could finish third but we have plus 7 GD on them
If we don't win a point in next 3 and Leicester win their two we will finish third
Effectively were safe for minimum third even if we lose next 3
How sad to be thinking that way when city win another title 4 out of 5

I think we have 3/4 of a very good side in place and a progressive club would go close to completing that this summer. But unfortunately the tail off is quite severe once you get past the first 11, far more than City and Chelsea (it’s almost as if they have unlimited resources...) and until that’s addressed, we are well behind. Williams isn’t good enough, Mata unfortunately is washed up with Matic not far behind, Telles is ok and the CB situation is in flux. Donny should be good enough given his pedigree but you have to say he has been absolutely hopeless in his last few appearances. I know there’s a clamour to start him ahead of McFred but there’s is literally zero evidence at present to justify it. We need a couple of marquee, game changing signings this summer. We also need a couple of intelligent squad purchases too. |

Stew thanks for this! I picked out some of my favourite comments below. It's amazing that Ole wrote off our title challenge as early as January when we were top of the league but Liverpool fans think we threw the title away tonight when we started the game 10 points behind City with vastly inferior goal difference and only four games left to play. And loved the final comment.
The limpest title 'challenge' in history finally comes to an end😅😅😅 Embarrassing from that PE teacher. Sending out a reserve team and throwing in the towel to city and gifting them the title. I’ve never known a team throw in the towel like that when there is still a slim chance of winning a title. Sums utd up really. I wonder how Bruno Fernandez feels right now. Play a great season for 34 games just to have you manager throw in the towel when the championship is still a possibility. They will look back on this with regret when still haven’t won a league in a few seasons, had a chance to put a bit of pressure on and gave up . He can say they'd have won the title but the fixtures made him put out this team. Perfect for him. What an absolute shithouse Ole is. Embarrassing line up from united. I hope the players are pissed off, their one chance of going for the title and Ole has taken it away from them. What an proper shithouse club they have become. I used to hate united but still respected what they achieved. They are an embarrassment of a club now. If that was us I would be disgusted! I think Amad will be an asset next year. He needs to get stronger but his talent is abundantly clear. I also think Elanga’s pace can be a weapon off the bench. I know quite a few people mention selling Dalot to raise funds but I would resist that. He’s a better player than Williams and we all know we won’t replace him if he’s sold so I’d keep him.
