We had an issue defending corners at the start of the season and we still have that problem in mid May, that’s bad management.

So is Donny up to the premiership? he’s not had many chances but hasn’t taken them really. Hes not suited to this team, thats for sure. I didnt see the game but i reckon it just past him by. Im on the fence with him, but he hasnt had a fair wack at this club. Unless he can adapt and play centrally or wide left, hes never gonna get in the side. Where do you play him if doesnt play as a 2nd striker or in brunos position? I dont see him being here next season. |

M eh, guess I put too much faith in the squad players. More clear signs that a heap just not good enough. Yeah Leicester are 3rd, but they also found themselves 4 down at home to Newcastle last time out. I’m the same. I think we have 3/4 of a very good side in place and a progressive club would go close to completing that this summer. But unfortunately the tail off is quite severe once you get past the first 11, far more than City and Chelsea (it’s almost as if they have unlimited resources...) and until that’s addressed, we are well behind. Williams isn’t good enough, Mata unfortunately is washed up with Matic not far behind, Telles is ok and the CB situation is in flux. Donny should be good enough given his pedigree but you have to say he has been absolutely hopeless in his last few appearances. I know there’s a clamour to start him ahead of McFred but there’s is literally zero evidence at present to justify it.We need a couple of marquee, game changing signings this summer. We also need a couple of intelligent squad purchases too. Well few of us have been banging this drum for a while now. Any sustained title challenge requires squad depth , until now one of the biggest complaint here was Ole is not rotating enough , this is what we get when we rotate. Saw it against Roma too. Just not good enough outside first 11 , Amad looks bright , Axel was solid in second half , other than that not much |

The scouse meltdown is the only silver lining about today. It’s fitting that our fixture with them got moved to Thursday.

Yeah we really need to compound their sense of outrage by beating them soundly on Thursday. Its the only Premier League game left for us that has any real significance so we should treat it like a cup final.

This has been utterly pathetic really. Perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with the club to allow city to win the league without even playing by us losing at home. we’ve just far too many players that aren’t good enough And a coach that isn't either. Individual brilliance can only get you so far. |

Bit lightweight physically to play regularly in the league. Elanga was ok i guess , didnt see anything really special from him yesterday |
