I'm going to plump for 3rd...
I think as do others that Citeh and Chelski will finish above us...Tuchel really seems to know how to manage to get his team over the line and they have added strength as well...Citeh are just the same bunch of financial cheats but they have improved their squad and were miles ahead last season...
If we get a quality CDM, I may revise...

2nd. as other have mentioned, sancho and varane will elevate us. although i dont see much of a gap between us, the scouse and the rents. not sure about city but it is really about pushing whoever is 1st and mounting a proper challenge.

It's impossible to say. We started poorly last year then we recovered and got in the title race but faded badly mid-season and never looked like challenging. I predict the same this season. Unless we sign quality in midfield, I don't see us challenging at home or in Europe. We have improved the squad but more is definitely needed, that's obvious to most on here.

City & Chelsea will finish above us for all the very obvious reasons.
Liverpool will if they don't suffer the amount of injuries they had last season.
Leicester have a better manager than we do,if they back him before the window closes with normal their normal decent recruitment they could pip us to 4th.
Until we solve the OGS & McFred issue we are not winning anything other than domestic cups,if we are lucky.
I've got us down for an optimistic 4th/5th.

3rd. City will win the league by a comfortable margin when they sign Kane. And they will.
Our squad is comparable to Chelsea's but they have the best manager in the league and as we saw time and time again with SAF that makes a massive difference. Lukaku is also a good signing for them. They struggled for goals a bit last season and he guarantees you at least 20+ goals a season.
Liverpool can still beat anyone on their day but they are lacking in squad depth and their front three have lost their chemistry. I think they will be more of a cup team next season and probably win one of the domestic cups.
I prefer to think in terms of points total. In the post Fergie era we've averaged between 65-75 points. Last season we finished on 74 points. Sancho and Varane must be worth at least another 10-15 points a season. So we should be targeting 85-90 points. Bear in mind Mourinho finished on 81 points with a much weaker squad with no Bruno, Sancho, Varane or even Maguire. So I think if Ole cannot achieve at least 85 points then it is undeniable proof he is holding us back. 85-90 points should be enough to keep us in the title race for much of the season.

Second , still think city are the favorites even without kane.
For me this will be the season to judge Ole the manager.
Varane and new set piece coach will improve the defense significantly , Sancho will score goals and link up well with other forwards.
Expecting a good title challenge, at least one domestic cup and a points total close to 90 from us.

Anywhere, as long as it’s above the Scouse! Realistically, 3rd is probably the best we can hope for with City and Chelsea’s managerial experience and overall (and markedly improved) quality. That’s scouse talk. We can do better than just aiming to be above them.

I'm going for a battle for 4th.....
Any injuries for a period of time to any of the new boys, Cavani and Bruno and we'll be in big trouble......

2nd and closer to City. Even though it's not enough and we still really need a midfielder, Sancho and Varane is by far the best business any team has done this summer.

The business if done by chelsea or city would be hailed so damn impressive. They are all just concerned it looks like we are waking up. Get the CDM in and it will be squeaky bum time.

I just really struggle to see us above City or Chelsea. They both have world class managers and really strong sides, and looked better than us for the back half of last season.
