This is exactly why it is a great challenge for Ronaldo.
If he joined City the media would have fawned over him. But because he joined us they want him to fail and they are quick to write him off. If he scores goals they will say "Well what did you expect he is Cristiano fucking Ronaldo". If he doesn't score they will say "He is past it. He is too old. He cannot handle the intensity of the Premiership". The only way he can shut the critics up is by scoring every game. And if he can do that even with our dodgy midfield and crappy management we have an outside chance of winning trophies.

Guessing this means he isn't fully vaccinated? But plenty of time to do that before the Newcastle game. Just hope Ole doesn't use his crap about players losing match fitness while quarantining as an excuse for starting Ronaldo on the bench against Newcastle.
