I see where you’re coming from but every great assister has had stats padded by ones like that so it’s a level playing field. |

Statistically, yes, they count, but that assist compared to Shaw’s… basically one is more equal than the other, IMO. |

I’m on the wagon so watched it sober at midnight. Apparently I was loud enough to wake the dead, so lord only knows what I’d have been like with a few under my belt!
Awesome to have CR7 back, and the positivity he’s brought with him. All the goals were things of beauty, each for a different reason. Maybe Ole will go all out Keegan? Sod the defence, we’re just gonna score more than the opposition!
If only we had a world class DM, this team would go places.

Statistically, yes, they count, but that assist compared to Shaw’s… basically one is more equal than the other, IMO. I hear you but an assist is an assist and he has done more in 4 games than the last 2 seasons combined. At this rate he smashes the record, if he leaves us but on a high where we win multiple trophies this season inc the prem, it would be a shame but a nice parting gift |

He reads what could happen and anticipates the mistake, that's not luck or coincidence. How many 0-0's, 1-1's or 0-1's could that make all the difference in. that’s just what top players do. both Ronnie and cavani score those type of goals but players like martial would be 10 yards away from the ball when the goalkeeper spilled it. |

Genuinely can’t remember the last time I’ve seen OT like that because of one player…maybe Eric’s return but even that was vs Liverpool and on a Sunday . The buzz was immediate walking off the train at Piccadilly. Even the Parklife lot were chanting Viva Ronaldo.
Everyone around the stadium itself was bouncing. I haven’t gone into a stadium that early in years and i was pleasantly surprised that i wasn’t alone. A roar went up when Ronaldo came out for warmups and the focus and chatter around was fully on one man. I wish i knew how to upload videos on here because halftime trying to buy a hot dog was mad lol. Entire concourse was going mad as Ronny had obviously just scored. I gave up trying to get food because it was almost impossible to get through the crowd of ppl all singing and dancing.
Second goal was absolutely mad as well. Pure elation around the stadium, manic celebrations around us etc.
I don’t know where this ride is going to take us but I’m fully in now lol.

Just looking at the game again for the umpteenth time, and the way Ronnie just looked ‘right’ in the strip, as if he’d never really been away!
I think he also proved a few of his (“he can’t run anymore”) doubters wrong too.

This is the behaviour of players who want to score goals. You watch Ronaldo at the back post, he's like a hyper active dog waiting to receive a treat from its owner. Martials attitude is, if I score great but I'm happy if we win. Ronaldo expects to score every game and if he doesn't, you know he's going to be disappointed. |
