Are you saying that you would have been okay with Ole staying if we won the Carabao Cup and nothing else? Really? It's never good to lose, but let's be real. The Carabao Cup does not matter and is not a meaningful measure of success or failure for the club. It’s a trophy and a start so while not ideal we are where we are (a trophy and top 4 this season is a minimum) but to just say the cup does not matter when we have won fuck all for 4 years is wrong. I hear you. I would have preferred to win it. It would've been nice to win it, for the reasons you cite. I'm just saying that when the time comes to measure whether Ole and/or the club have succeeded or failed this season, the Carabao Cup is not a meaningful data point one way or the other.

Took my Nephew to his first OT game tonight. That’s probably the only positive thing i can muster the place looked rammed for a league cup game.

At least it wasn't a lower league team. And I'm tired of seeing us fail in the semi's of this cup in January when we have a lot of games.
On the bright side, with fewer fixtures it can't be used as an excuse for Ole and the team if we are shite from mid Dec onwards.
Its also annoying we won't get to see some of the young lads get a run out, or even players like Donny seeing as Ole won't play him any other time.

Zero trophies from eighteen is a meaningful data point.

Although trivial now I can't believe we didn't get a pen in the first half when Noble pulled Lingard by the shirt.
It's ridiculous how incompetent these officials are now.

We have all been watching united long enough to know that making that many changes against a Premier league side is likely to end up with a cup exit. If ole didn't realise that then he's a twat. Time for project ole to come to an end even if it is only the league Cup.

I’m not optimistic about our season.
I will say the most Liverpool-esque pre-Klopp thing imaginable, but at this point, I will even settle for the illusion that we’re going to do well. “This year is our year.”
Fucking hell how has it come to this.

3 trophies left to play for. He's not winning the PL or the CL because he's simply not better than Klopp , Tuchel or Pep , The FA cup is his only chance of silverware and even then it will depend on the other teams being shite.
He's already down the path to failure Why is this not surprising?
If we get rid now and bring in a MANAGER we can still salvage something from this season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Man Utd's Carabao Cup defeat by West Ham: "We played well for long periods and gave it a good go. Stats don't mean anything but when you've got 27 shots you know the boys have given it a good go."
This one is for the apologist.
