As damning as this is for ole and his staff it doesn't say much for professional footballers who are paid fuckin millions that they don't know how to navigate a game without being told what to do to the finest fuckin detail.... no footballing brains bar a couple, said it before... It's a cop out. International, professional footballers on 100/200k a week shouldn't need to be told how to carry out basic fucking defending. Today was basic stuff and they couldn't be arsed. Ole's to blame for a lot of things but these players should be shelving blame aswell. Unfortunately with Oles head on the chopping block they'll shield themselves away under all of that. This is naive. You’re going to see over the next few weeks that these players can do the basic as and can be arsed. They just can’t and won’t do it for this manager.

It is absolutely not a cop out. The manager is and will always be the most important piece of the puzzle when it comes to football. That's why Fergie was outraged when rooney demanded more money than him. People forget that in an orchestra of 11 players, there needs to be a conductor to set the tone and tempo. Otherwise it's pub football like what we've seen. It's not a cop out it's a damming indictment of the coaching setup. You're missing my point completely. I'm talking about the fundamental basics. Shit you learn on a Sunday in the local park. I agree in terms of structure and tactics then that falls on the manager. But clearing the ball, closing players down, making simple passes are basics that you shouldn't need to be coached for. Especially if you're an international level defender. Ole wanted us to play like a wounded animal and that's exactly what we did. If City were the top predator that wounded and gutted us of all our intestines then Watford were the Vultures.

Makes sense why Sancho was so good with his delivery yesterday, he actually got some proper advice.

Off topic but why can’t the team wear red when it obviously doesn’t clash? Is wearing the blue kit just a way to sell more shirts?
Should be Red whenever possible in my opinion.

Nah. 'The owners have invested lots of money' and 'the loudest fans are not always the best'. Did for me. Fuck off back to Norway Ole. Away to the same bin as Ince and Hughes. Ince called him out early tbf and got blasted for it. 👀 Rightly so. Ole was on that great run in temp charge and Ince claimed he could do an identical job. Which is simply not true. When Ole took charge, a lot of the big swing came from the players liking him and the cloud of misery being lifted. Literally nobody likes Paul Ince. He couldn’t galvanise a locker room full of his own family members.

Rumours about again that Ole is considering a serious shake up and there could be a shock start for Donny!......didn't we hear all this kind of shit at the start of the season and look what happened, still 4-2-3-1 and still McFred and so on...... 🤦♂️😂 Yay, go for the guy you marginalized for 2 years to dig you out of a hole. Fucking stupid. He hates you, hopefully he has a blinder and we still get fucked. Nailed it? Didn't watch the game, but heard it went a little bit like this. Thank fuck it's over...

There’s so much wrong with how we were coached under Ole, watching MOTD you see Liverpool’s right back putting pin point free kicks into their opponents box,
Imagine AWB doing that? Not a cat in hells.

But clearing the ball, closing players down, making simple passes are basics that you shouldn't need to be coached for. Especially if you're an international level defender. Naive to a point because everything starts with the manager. Maguire and Shaw have been worse than awful since the euros. Shaw was arguably one of the best players in the league last season and he's back to his normal shit self this season. Anybody can see that, yet Ole wouldnt take him or Maguire out of the side. There has to be a penalty for rubbish performances but under Ole that rarely happened if you were his favourite. Fred could be crap for weeks on end but when DVB plays he has to light the world up to keep a spot in the team, you not find that hypocritical? His favouritism and treatment of players has contributed to his players chucking in the towel. You can talk about players downing tools and doing the basics all you want but Ole hung his hat on these players and they've got him the sack. I'm as frustrated by some of the players attitudes as you are. There are some really unprofessional fuckers in that side who will forever let you down but they've been allowed to get away with it by this manager. If he was doing his job properly they wouldn't be at the club or would have been replaced at the first opportunity. There's no rule that says Maguire must play. If we happen to get a proper coach then we will see a totally different team, the trick is to sign a coach who will get 2 or 3 seasons out of this group and not just a 3 or 4 month cameo before turning shit again.

Should I put money on Carrick being in charge for the next 3 years?

The spurs result did us more harm than good despite Winning 3-0
The Watford result has done us more good than harm despite losing 4-1.

Why is the club fixated with Zidane. He doesn't want the fucking job, you want someone who's keen to take the role surely?

Should I put money on Carrick being in charge for the next 3 years? I'm honestly worried about this. Carrick getting a few good results could be the worst thing to happen. He gets the job, we miss out on better candidates, we end up in the same situation in a few years with yet more damage done to the clubs standing reputation. Just keep kicking the can down the road.
