Something to keep in mind, PSG are incredibly brittle and concerned about the perception of being pushed around by the traditional big clubs. This was the club that turned down a massive bid for Mbappe in the summer knowing he’d be gone next summer anyways. So getting Poch now with our inept board will be a challenge. Good point.

I consider the whole Mbappe thing to be stupid. Anyone with sense would take 200 million and spend it on Haaland.

That is a concern. You’d hope he’d realise he currently has Woodward over a barrel and makes some pretty strenuous demands on player recruitment etc. He left Spurs over it all. Levy said he sacked him because he didn't win trophies but it was clear to everyone the relationship had broken down. The club has shown a willingness to spend money, jeez they spent 140m+ million on Maguire and AWB. He was lucky if he got a soft mint lounging in Levy's pocket. There's a press conference clip from Poch's last season where he is asked about transfers and basically says he has no idea and that he shouldn't even be referred to as the manager anymore

It comes down to Zidane , if he is willing they will let Poch go

How about staying wherever he is right now. He gives new meaning to the word toothless.

Assuming Mbappe is off - and from the outside it looks that way - you're definitely right. But I would say that I think Mbappe is better than Haaland, as good as Haaland is, so if they think he will stay then I understand it at least. There's not a footballer in the world I would trade Mbappe for. And in fairness, Real's bid came in so late that signing Haaland was probably highly unrealistic regardless of the funds available. Real were more trying to save face, think PSG should have called their bluff and accepted. No way Real had the cash.

Yes but Mbappe has made it abundantly clear for ages now that he’s leaving for Real at the end of his contract. I’m pretty sure Castles was talking about this 18 months ago.

The BBC are reporting Valverde being approached as interim, so looks like it has legs.

Castles raving about Pedro Martins at Olympiacos. Saying his release clause is putting a lot of the big clubs off. I don't know anything about him though! Anyone else watch Greek football? Apparently, he has helped develop an app which gives him a real time aerial view of the game, so he can analyse the game as it happens, also show the players at half time. Clever shit!
