Think they're trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Get someone in for free now on a 6 month deal and tell them the jobs theirs permanently if they get us in the top 4. Sounds more like the cunts to me. Yeah I absolutely agree. It's exactly what they fucking did with Ole.

And to be honest they're more high-profile names than you'd normally associate with a job like that. Think this is less about getting someone in to do the job now and more about who they can get for free, that is the most likely to do well and be kept on full-time. They know fans will take it. For arguments sake, if Valverde comes in, we play well, get top 4.. they will absolutely offer him the job full-time. Then because of the titles he won at Barca and the fact he'd have done well here, most fans wouldn't shout about it too much.

No fuss club legend getting top 4 - fucking Christmas. Depends on the fans now. They have to show discontent, it's the only thing that will move these people into serious action.

I think the difference is that there is no United DNA factor at play. That was the main reason Ole got the job. Because he was a fan favourite and our greasy owners couldn't resist the opportunity to curry favour with the fanbase while continuing to systematically bleed us dry treating the club like a cash cow.
I think the interim role makes sense. Rodgers would definitely leave Leicester mid-season. But Pochettino would probably find it more difficult to do unless PSG are happy to take on Zidane as a replacement and while I imagine that will eventually happen I don't think it will be until the summer. And of course other candidates such as Enrique, Ten Hag and so on probably won't be available until the summer anyway.
We also have a good enough squad to salvage top 4 provided we bring in an experienced interim with Valverde fitting the bill.
As I mentioned my main concern is we aren't also bringing in interim coaches to replace Carrick, McKenna and all the other similarly inexperienced and inept backroom staff that also played a role in our failures over the last 3 years. But I guess that is quite impractical as most coaches worth their salt are contracted and would only move for a full time role not a contract role.

The Woodward arse kisser (aka Mitten) has claimed that Valverde & Rudi Garcia have both been interviewed for the interim role.

Ralf Rangnick is believed to be United’s preferred option to manage the club for the rest of the season if they cannot prise Pochettino from PSG. [ @samuelluckhurst ] #MUFC

Lyon did very well in 19-20, reached the semis of the Champions League if I'm right, beating Juve and City. Always has been an attacking coach. I don't know how he handles things here though.

[ @samuelluckhurst ] #MUFC If the club can install him as interim, then push him as DoF and next season bring in Ten Hag, I will legitimately clap my hands in approval. That would be a masterstroke.

Can you see us appointing a DoF? Seems like that will just scream “pushback” to Woodward and co.

still think we should be calling Enrique up to have a discussion. Kind of guy that would end up at chelsea, city or liverpool and we will look back and think 'we could have got him'
If he says 'no' then fine, but the very least try

Fair enough if that is what he has said to us or our intermediaries the way Zidane has said 'no'.
