Sky are saying Rangnick is staying on as a 'football' consultant, after we appoint our 'actual' manager in the summer, presumably Poch. Can't believe i'm typing this but i think this is a really good move by the club. Rangnick first as our interim manager, then our full time manager comes in and Rangnick stays on.

Are they teeing up a pressing approach for Poch to take over? That would seem to make sense. I'd guess they're lining Ten Hag up in the summer with Rangnick moving up to a consultancy role seeing as it's been requested by him. |

He was previously sporting director at Leipzig. From what i'm currently reading he knows his stuff.

I'm a bit surprised to be honest, when there were better more relevant real coaching choices like Valverde, Favre. I mean if they are interested in a sporting director then fucking hire one and give him some power if that's what we need.
We also have Murtough and Fletcher there now in that role and it's an interim coaching job we need, not some BS consultant. What does it mean he hangs on as consultant in sporting affairs.
I think this sounds like an Ed appointment FFS
