When so called professional footballers can’t even get the basics right then you have no chance. RR has seemingly abandoned pressing because we can’t do it and also abandoned the ban on sideways and backwards passing…it has suddenly dawned on him that we just don’t have the players… I think it struck him a while ago. I don't think anyone could get a note out of this lot. Alot of them are damaged goods mentally and just not wired to play at the very highest level. Leaking shit to the press through agents and media buddies and moaning about having to train late. A massive cull is needed. I'm somewhat relieved we haven't had that new manager bounce because it just hides the obvious flaws in this side. We need to rebuild the spine of the team and we can't do that with such a large squad. Just get rid and let this guy get his own players. |

The VDB situation is just the most bewildering situation of any player I've ever seen at this club. He may well end up being shit but how has he literally never been given a run in the side? Now onto a 2nd manager and seemingly he also sees him as not good enough. I mean what the fuck is he doing in training? Stood in the corner doing helicopters with his cock? How is he not getting a run in the team? His only hope is that he can last until the end of the season and then EtH is lined up. |

Just remembered that Maguire came in the same window as AWB and James. We knew at the time it wasn’t enough but in hindsight it’s taking the crown from the Moyes summer as our worst ever.

Be interesting to see what the cliques behind the scenes consist of. Shaw is clearly pointing towards not everyone doing their bit there.
It also seems clear they don’t like the gaffer, whether it’s his ideas they don’t like or the extra hard work. He’s obviously not motivating them (although some of these shit houses, that would be impossible).
I know we talk too much about needing a Roy Keane sort of character and it’s a bit frustrating because it oversimplifies the situation. But not one of those lads would dare half arse it to that degree if we had a captain like that. There’d still be issues with tactics and footballing IQ, but the application would be 100%. They behave like this because they can get away with it. Again, it oversimplifies it, but that bunch of fannies wouldn’t dare answer back to a proper leader.
Anyway, Jones was good. It was sad to see him sticking his head in at the end because it sort of demonstrated the gulf between a man who has been derided for nicking a living and the rest of those chancers. Varane I thought had a decent game too. You can see him trying to lead on the pitch, which is more than can be said for anyone else. De Gea as usual was more than solid. Greenwood looked bright in spells. Beyond that, they should all be ashamed, manager included.
