That makes no sense because this squad has cost a fortune to assemble. They just don't know what the hell there doing. Ralf will probably walk away sharpish unless he can influence signings and rightly so because why else would he be here. Either way we need to get rid of a quarter of the first team squad. There trying to get 40m for the likes of Jesse and probably that for Martial. Unfortunately we are going to take a big hit on these players but these fuckers deserve nothing less. Pogba walking away on a free is hilarious. It didn't really cost that much. They're all deferred payments and achievements clauses these days. Maybe but we end up paying the vast majority of it and I'm sure the same can be said of other clubs. It's hard to argue that we have spent nothing on this squad. It's clearly not the case here. I think the Glaziers are looking to make X amount from the club every year and I do believe that's the case but the club has had the resources to compete, people like Ed and previous managers have squandered it. |

Just watched the game again and for the life of me I really don’t understand why Rangnick did not react to what he was seeing unfold.
Donny should have come in earlier, Matic was tired and Villa were going wave after wave.
Players didn’t help themselves but the manager also did not help, it was the same with Ole, poor in game management.
As far as I am concerned there is very little honesty from top to bottom. Manager probably gets promised players and they don’t come in.
Players get promised game time and get talked up in press conferences but only make 3 minute sub appearances.
Lastly on Martial, I have for years defended the guy and been desperate for him to succeed, now I just want him out, we need character and he has lacked in that department along with others for a while.

I absolutely HATE to sound like a broken record but NOTHING WILL CHANGE until our esteemed owners decide to sell the club.
Fergie saw what was going to happen in the long term ,but despite this ,he stayed on ,retaining an iron grip on the entire club, no one-whoever they were-could do the same nowadays.
Now that he’s gone ,at least in an organisational capacity, the parasites have had free reign, although this will definitely bite them on the arse given time.
I’ve said it before, so apologies , but I despise what our club has become-especially when I think back to being a kid ,with 4 pints lined up in the Roaring Winds-after a win,and school in the morning!

Let's be honest mate it doesn't matter how it goes in as long as it goes in. I honestly thought we were okay up until the players decided to back off, we managed them pretty well in the 1st half and our players (excluding Dave)switched off in the 2nd half. I don't know if that's because of fitness or that they don't want the win badly enough but Ralf can't be blamed for the way we conceded those 2 goals in the short time that we did. Our boys just don't want it. It matters when you’re claiming we were cruising when in actual fact we scored two lucky goals. We were ok for half an hour. They dominated the second half. We simply were not in control of the contest. It’s not all the manager’s fault obviously, we know that. These players are feeble of mind, body and spirit. But it’s his fault he fielded that midfield and left pensioner Matic ambling around on a booking for the duration. It’s his fault he didn’t make changes to affect the way the game had turned. It’s probably a combination of his fault and Dalot being shite that they were in on goal every time they attacked down their left. He acknowledged previously we controlled a game and saw it out after bringing on Donny and going to a diamond. A game against the same opposition. So if he’s seen the blueprint himself, to the point where he’s told us about it after the game, why has he not gone back to it? At the end of the day, if Ole was getting blamed for tactical and personnel mistakes then Ralf should be too. He’s making the same mistakes and we’re playing just as shit as we were before. Fair points in there. Also what's the point of Ralf making us play differently only for it to change in the next few months with a new manager? I've not seen a manager change a teams style of play in 6 months. |

Adam Curtis made a movie years ago called Hypernormalisation which was a term used to describe Russia during the cold war.
