he didn’t play Maguire in ronaldos position ffs he took a forward off for an extra defender after the villa clusterfuck. managers do it all the time. Utd fans have been moaning for a few years about the lack of in game and in season squad management under the previous manager an we now have a manager who’s is trying to get the most out of the squad he has and he’s getting pelters already. give the bloke a chance. Add to the fact he was crap all night and a passenger for the most part, chest to Bruno aside of course Got the feeling a couple of times last night that the young players feel like they have to pass to him even if they are in a better position themselves. |

3 goals, 2 points, bruno captain, goals for our future stars, I can't complain too much albeit the first half was poor.
Just imagine if we got a CDM and Scott was free'd up. We can complain all day that he is not the quality of what we should have starting but something tells me there is abit more in him and if he was not restricted we could see that

I dont understand why people are pissed off at the substitution , we are leading 0-2 at 70 mins , nobody wants a repeat of what happened last game against villa , so he got an extra defender in there and a fast forward who will help with the counter attacking situation that will definitely come in the last stages when Brentford commit players forward searching for a goal. And it mostly worked. Because the greatest player of all time shouldn't be subbed for the worst transfer signing of all time. Ever. And we shouldn't be cowering into five at the back when the manager's purported hard on is 'control' while a technically gifted midfielder (where you get control) rots on the bench. And Jones was a sub even if we did want to go to five at the back. Harry cunting teeth-grindingly shit cuntish Maguire should never play for us again. That's why some people may have been pissed off. |

Anyway....
Next time we play, you just watch the amount of movement from Ronaldo that goes unnoticed, or how slow they are to get the ball to him and I include Bruno in that too.
One moment that stands out particularly yesterday in the 2nd half, Ronaldo was hanging about on the shoulder of the right back desperately wanting the ball to be played in for him, Bruno was in possession, nobody in front of him and under no real pressure yet decided to hold play up and just lay it off to a midfielder.
It's no wonder Ronnie looks so fucked off and keeps moving about the pitch into unsuitable positions. He needs to, to get just a sniff of the ball.

He effectively had the RB and RCB going with him. But na, lets still dawdle forward stop and pass it to Fred instead. He's not some lazy ass goal poacher like some would have you believe. He seemed to be popping up everywhere yesterday to try and get himself on the ball or find some space. Lets not start going along with this lazy media ABU shit that I keep hearing about him. It's such a dull argument to accuse him of not working hard off the ball. I expect the media to do it but I am flabbergasted to see our own "fans" doing it. |

Jones was also on the bench though. I did mention that in an earlier post that we could of used Jones instead. So you should know that people aren't necessarily annoyed with the tactical change but the personnel involved. |

Some good stuff last night, but Spurs are still a point ahead of us with 2 games in hand.(and Conte getting better by the week ) There's still so much to play for, but we really need to be improving on our ability to keep the ball and control the game. It's still too easy for teams to create chances against us! and these teams are bottom half teams. We're in this easy run and against better teams who can finish we're going to struggle!
It's good to see senior players being challenged too Rashford, AWB, Maguire, Shaw etc nobody in a squad like that should be able to saunter around playing crap and still get picked!
