Pisses me off that rather than spend a little this transfer window our wankers of owner are quite happy to risk trophies and top 4. Surely any buyer will pay more if we're in the champions league. If they are not willing to spend then sell to buy. So frustrating

It’s going to take genius of SAF proportions to keep us in the top four at this rate…

Chelsea are willing to sell Jorginho and Arsenal are looking to buy or loan. We really couldn’t do worse than loan him for 6 months. Good shout, him or Tielemans on loan would be the logical moves before the window shuts. It seems, however, that we'll do nothing - our failure to act like a proper football club and support Ten Hag with the bare minimum in this window might well cost us silverware. Squad is paper thin. While this is frustrating it doesn't piss me off too much because the main event for this club is just around the corner. Finally ridding ourselves of the glazer era will top any transfer business we do this window. I am more interested in outgoings this year and think of the celebrations when this lot are finally purged from the club forever. Honestly don't know what people expected, yes it's shit, but they was never going to put anymore money in, this is the cunts final slap in the face, the one season we actually look like we could achieve something and then do this. Let's not worry about who we havnt signed this Window and be excited about what the future will bring once these fuck off.

They haven't. They've literally just agreed a fee for Jorginho. I would have taken him here. *Sad sigh* I would have taken either, Arsenal will not be caught in the league as they've gone out and backed Arteta with reinforcements. Tragedy. Top 4 and a league Cup, that would likely be the best we can hope for this season. I don't see enough depth in the squad to push for more which, make no mistake, is within reach.

They haven't. They've literally just agreed a fee for Jorginho. I would have taken him here. *Sad sigh* you'd think he would rotate well with Eriksen. I'd take him on a loan only though. when i look at his age, casemiro's age and eriksen's age i do have a little concern at the back of my mind in terms of any long-term contract. Long and short i just don't think we actually make calls to see if we can do ambitious deals, almost have a defeatist attitude

It is very frustrating. But I think even if Eriksen didn't get injured he would have burnt out with the way Erik was overusing him. Fred looks a much better player when he isn't alongside Scotty and will give 100% and perhaps with Fred doing more of the dirty work Bruno will be able to be a bit more creative and replace some of Eriksen's assists.
Weghorst clearly wasn't what we were hoping for when Ronaldo went nuclear. But if Rashford keeps scoring and we can get goals from midfield from the likes of Casemiro, Fred and Bruno, then Weghorst can probably be a good team player and help others around him play better. He seems like a player that Erik knows how to use.
And luckily for us the clubs below us in the table all have problems. Tottenham are spineless as usual and have far too much mediocrity in their squad. Klopp is having seventh season syndrome. Chelsea's team still looks unbalanced and Potter is totally out of his depth. Brighton are having a fantastic season but even if we stumble a little I don't see them overtaking us.
So I think we are still good value for top 4. And the Caraboa Cup final is still a few months away and hopefully by then we will have Eriksen back fighting fit. But even if we don't Fred has shown he can do a job in the big games for us and I think we have enough quality in our first team to beat Newcastle especially if Gordon ends up being their only major January signing.
Top 4 and the Caraboa Cup are still achievable and would give us a good base to kick on next season when we get more money to spend.
And perhaps if we do have to struggle a bit to make top 4 then a new owner won't underestimate how much we need to strengthen and give us more backing.
