Oh that sucks. But Casemiro Bruno and Fred should be more than a match for their midfield. Imagine the outcry if we started Longstaff and Willock every week. And this is a club who actually wanted to buy Scotty in January. I know Newcastle's form is incredible this season. But their record in the big games is less impressive. They have only managed draws against Arsenal and Manchester City and us and they lost to Liverpool. Of course you have to respect where they have got to this season and they will be a tough side to beat as we saw in the Premier League earlier this season. But even with Eriksen's absence we should still have enough quality to beat them. And the Caraboa Cup final is still a few months away and hopefully by then we will have Eriksen back fighting fit. It's in less than 4 weeks. |

There is a ridiculous amount of interest in Elanga (albeit only for loan deals). Surely one of the interested clubs e.g. PSV, Dortmund, Barcelona has a decent midfielder they can spare that we could loan in exchange that can tide us over until Eriksen recovers from injury? And of course Barca don't really want Elanga. They are just similarly cash strapped to us and trying to find some cover for Dembele. If Barca really want Elanga, we would like kessie in a swap or better yet use him as makeweight for FDJ |
