Casemiro and Fred will have to be our midfield between now and the end of the season.
Erik needs to wake up. We cannot possibly compete on 4 fronts with our depleted squad. Premier League and the Caraboa Cup are the priorities. FA Cup we should be resting a few players until the later rounds.
Europa League is a massive waste of time. It takes 9 midweek fixtures to win the damn thing and a lot of foreign travel. Play the reserves.
Leicester have shown that if you don't have European football to worry about you can get away without having to rotate much.

We somehow have a squad that is simultaneously bloated and full of dead weight, and paper thin. We're always an injury away from a disaster. Terrible squad management for over a decade. Exactly. I actually said it before the Reading game in the Forest thread. The squad is weak, but the drop off from Casemiro and Eriksen is massive. I don't understand how he wraps Varane up in cotton wool when needed, which is the right thing to do, but never rests Eriksen It's because Martinez can raise Lindelöf to almost competent. Nobody can raise McTominay to passable.

Also the UEFA Cup is a European trophy and we do not have enough of those as it is. If we're in it we should win it.

It's all good saying we could have rested players or rotated ect, but those players who would get rotated are the exact same shite we all want out of the club, if we had decent owners players would have been brought in this window, but we don't, there is absolutely zero appetite for the owners to put another single penny in. Fred could have played, a youngster could have played, ten Hag with his full control over transfers could have signed someone on 01 January. The owners have never put anything in. It's all club cash or borrowed and credit lines. The sale of the club is worth more if we finish in the European Cup places. Ten Hag could have threatened to walk. The drop of in quality is to big though, as we have all seen, it's not just changing one or two players it affects the whole teams performance and we have seen that so many times before. Let's be honest the sale is probably already going through, they are getting an absolute fortune, they couldn't give a shit if we get top four or don't, also just say ETH threatened to leave then what? He goes we get another ole and they still don't give any funds because they are selling up anyway.

Or even against Palace? I'm not buying it -- that was shit management by ten Hag. There is zero chance the owners would have allowed ten Hag to walk if he had threatened it. They're already having difficulties getting the figures they want for the club. I also guarantee they care about top four if the difference is hundreds of millions or billions.

Is there even a murmur of anything? Sabitzer. Wouldn’t mind that tbh. Good passer from what I remember

wHaT dO yOu ExPeCt HiM tO sAy. I'm on board now bestie. final straw I'm really trying to give ten Hag leeway because of the results on the pitch but he has no credit in the bank when it comes to the rest of it.

Fred was available for the Reading game. And Erik had the following to say about him:
'He is playing together with Casemiro in the Brazil squad, one of the best in the world. They (Brazil) have so many choices they can make, but they play together and that tells something about the quality Fred has and what he can contribute to the team. When he came on in the last game he scores a goal. He has a lot of qualities and they're a good combination, Casemiro and Fred.’
So in Erik's mind good enough to play with Casemiro for Brazil. But not good enough to play with Casemiro against Reading. But good enough to spare the owners from actually having to spend a dime.
Anyone else struggling to keep up?
