Watched the game in the pub for the first time in a few years(nice change TBH)
All round good team effort again and ETH seems to be getting a tune out of some of the players we all thought should be moved on(Dalot,Mct etc).
It was the perfect game for Rashford(on the counter) and tbf to him he nailed it (his best game for months).
Yes Arsenal had plenty of the ball but i can only remember DDG making the odd save and he was nowhere near the man of the match.
ETH has us on the right track and i just hope our useless board don't pull the rug from under him over the next 2-3 windows because we still need better attacking options and squad depth.

Great game and I'm gonna run with it. I'm enjoying us winning games! One game at a time and less moaning from fans please. Also I thought this was one of Rash's best games to date. Took his goals brilliantly and just goes to show you what a little confidence does for a player. Fuck the doom and gloom I've read in a lot of this thread. He should join Le Pissier with comments like that. At the risk of supreme irony, stop telling people what to do. Move on if you don't like something.

Don’t mind the whole starting 11 rested on Thursday. The supporting cast should have something to prove. AWB lindelof Maguire Shaw Casemiro Fred Antony (60 mins) DVB Elanga (switch to right after 60 mins and bring on Garnacho) Ronaldo No Maguire, no Shaw, ever again. Elanga doesn't deserve to start either. I think the hope is that Fenandez does extremely well on loan thus Shaw could be pimped out in the summer. Maguire will try and leave in January I would think or summer. Just need them to play their role now. Elanga well yeah not alot to say

Especially when you have to pay for that thing.

It's nice to feel good about your football team again isn't it. I refuse to go overboard, but at such a shit time in life for many reasons, it's good to have happy thoughts again for something. Long may it continue. Even on here it's better so keep it up everybody.
Glazers out of course.

i like how ETH says that he is pleased with the progress, but that the goal is to control games. he clearly adapted his style very quickly after the first 2 games and now works slowly on the football he wants them to play down the line.
also great how he talks about the high standards he expects from everyone, not just the players but all the people working at the club.

He clearly knows what he wants and how he wants to get there, its refreshing. The way he's transformed this team after the Brentford game is truly remarkable. Martinez has also had a massive hand in that. His passion and drive has rubbed off on the other 3 at the back nicely aswell.
When we conceded yesterday we regrouped, found that 2nd wind and pushed on, last season if that happened our heads would have dropped and we'd have lost it. Shows that we've actually got a squad now that looks like it wants to fight.
We're not quite there but certain aspects of our game are improving by the week, just need to start controlling games better. I'm not interested where we are in a few weeks down the line either, I just want to concentrate on now and it's great. Soak it in.

Yes, and I would prefer to go with a good lineup to start the group stage well against Sociedad but with the schedule of games coming up both Varane and Martinez need a rest. At the end of the game Martinez had an issue and Varane has been injury prone so we need to take care of them before they get injured.

But this game on Thursday probably decides who wins the group (which is a real advantage in this comp) so I personally would pick a very strong lineup. We can go weaker in later games.

The face on Maguire compared to the others says it all. He couldn't even put on a smile for his teams win

Get the game won,get the group won as quickly as possible & then change it up.
