Last two league games I've done we've won so try and make it the hat trick.
Rashford and Martial have been reportedly been training well so hopefully they're back in the squad. I'd like to see Casemiro start this but won't be too bothered if McTominay does with the form he's been in.
On a decent run so hopefully it continues in whats a very busy October.

Genuinely excited about this one. A win here and we are well truly back in the mix. We will need to up our game again from the Scouse and Arsenal performances but I honestly think we have a decent chance here, if we get a couple of breaks and the Red doesn’t stiff us. We seem to have come through the break unscathed and Rashford being back helps too.
2-1 to Utd with a Sancho goal followed by an Eriksen free kick.

I can't see Haaland not scoring. My gut tells me we need to score 3 to win this.

Their defense can be breached, absolutely.
Haaland though is a massive problem. Martinez has handled him before but he’s still a freak.
Much more confident with ten Hag at the helm.

The last few seasons I have dreaded this game because of our usual spanking but this time I’m looking forward to it.
We all know there is still loads to be done improving the squad but Sundays result will be a good gauge of where we are against the best team in the league.

I think the game will suit us. Ten Hag is still relying on our ability on the counter attack and we have always had quite a bit of joy against City with that approach. But of course for it to work we need to keep Haaland relatively quiet and that will require Varane and Martinez to be on top of their games.
I would be in favour of playing Scotty AND Casemiro. Eriksen is great but he might be a bit too lightweight for this kind of game.

i still think they are a far superior team to us and i cant really see us grabbing 3 points. but i am actually really looking forward to the game and believe that it might suit for ETH. cant wait to see varane and martinez against haaland, a proper battle i expect there

I’m hoping for a good, competitive game, unlike the last few where they collectively gave up after 10 minutes or so. 1-2 .Bruno and Sancho. Martinez welded up to Haaland.

Fuck that, even if we have to counter-attack them to death, he's the one you want in there Pretty sure City won't drop any of their 'lightweight' midfielders to cope with big Scotty in there, as good as he's been recently

If we want to do anything in the game then players like Eriksen give you a better chance. City are many levels above us on their best day but we can trouble them if the game plan is a good one. City ain't invincible. It's a great time to play them, straight after an international break.

Didn't mean lightweight in the sense of being slight of frame. But he's been repurposed as a CM for his playmaking skills because we missed out on Frenkie. That has worked pretty well so far and I'd be OK with that against City if Casemiro was fully up to speed and ready to anchor our midfield. But good as Scotty has been so far City are a level above Liverpool and Arsenal.
