I’ve seen Casemiro play loads and loads of times. We all have. In massive games too. Thought I knew full well how good he was before he came. Seeing him in our midfield when we haven’t had a player like that in nearly twenty years - he’s even better than I thought. He understands that role perfectly. If you watch him closely, he knows when to press and when to drop off and not get caught out of position. He makes little to no costly mistakes. He's just a proper midfield player, no wonder Perez was fucking crying when he left.

Good win! Could have easily been 5 or 6. That’s 5 home games in a row now that Marcus has scored. He’s in form and looks visibly more confident/happy. I think as a fan base we have to get behind him because i genuinely think he’s better than bringing in someone like Felix etc. Plus he’s one of our own. João Felix is a significantly superior footballer though. There are bloody loads of them. When Rashford delivers trophies then we can discuss getting behind him for the sake of 'he's one of our own'.

3 points, 3 goals, team performance with Casemiro being the standout. Lovely

There have been gradual improvements in our game as the season has gone, add a decent striker in Jan and it can improve a lot more. There is no reason we can't finish in the top 4, even come away from the season with a trophy. Really is as simple as that.

There is no reason we can't finish in the top 4, even come away from the season with a trophy. Really is as simple as that. 29 points from 15 games. Take away the 1st two games of the season (which are looking like an anomaly) and that's 2.23 points per game, keep that up the rest of the season and that's 80 points. Even if 80 points isn't enough for top 4, that's still a good season and evidence ETH needs time and patience to keep doing what he's doing. The team looks much better, the football is better, the signings have been good, players look happier and teams look fearful of playing United again. It's not been perfect and still a lot to be done (at least 2 or 3 more players needed, still a lot of dross needs clearing out, unable to kill teams off and put games to bed) but things are looking a lot rosier than 12 months ago.

Superior based on what? Also Rashfords won more trophies than him and he’s done it despite an unstable work environment. He’s played for 5 different managers. Marcus is a phenomenal talent who we burned out at the end of 2021 and it took him time to recover. He’s only 2 years older than Felix and has had years now of premier league experience. Felix is playing for a team well off the pace in la Liga and he’s scored 3 goals in all competitions this year.

To put it in perspective Felix has played 120 games at league level aged 23. Rashford was around 180 by that age all in the prem. We leant on him way too early and he burned out. He’s now looking like he’s finally rebounded.

Nottingham Forest are as bad a football team I’ve seen at Old Trafford for sometime.

I posted this nearly 7 years ago Mar 21, 2016 18:01:58 GMT 11 dazjoe said: As exciting as Rashford looks let's hope we put his long term future ahead of the club's short term needs. Owen and Fowler were both playing too much football too young and were finished before they hit 30. Same with Rooney who is lasting longer than they did but still looked washed up for the last couple of seasons. He's still a kid and should be continuing to develop at a normal rate, not shoved into our first team as a regular just yet. And if he's playing and scoring regular for United you can bet your backside he'll get an England call up too. Not trying to bring negativity into the thread, just saying I'd hate to see him burned out at 28 because the richest club in the world couldn't sign a top class striker to take pressure off the kid. ======= I mean, it pretty much happened.

But it's Rashford that needs to be replaced 🤦♂️. Don't get why every positive has to be met with a fucking negative with this fanbase at times. We've wanted him to be performing like this for long enough, now he is it still isn't good enough.

My oldest son who is 3 recognized “his team” plays in red. He also said Manchester as best he could. Proud moment!

At the moment I’m more concerned about the right side of the team(we’ve spend nearly 200 million on 2 attacking players but still look bang average on that side). Hopefully both will come good soon but it’s still a shining example of other clubs pulling our pants down.

Still would like to see him played as a No.10 though rather than on the right. Not much to say on Antony up to now, deserves some leeway as the lad needs time to settle, he's only played a dozen times. He's shown he has talent so hopefully we'll start seeing that as the season progresses.
