Thankfully the vast majority of Utd fans are fully behind Rashford and are enjoying his renaissance this season. The fact he’s one of our own and has used his platform to help kids just adds it. Baffling that some people choose not to find the good in that. What is baffling is the apparent need of some people to gloatingly crow anytime Rashford manages to do something decent. Not only that, but they also apparently need to make shitty remarks about anyone that doesn't subscribe to the Rashford fanclub. It’s like they have selective amnesia for over 12 months of poor performances.

That incident with the supporters was just a rush of blood during a difficult time for him, no one is perfect and we can't expect them to be. I tend to agree somewhat with your opinions on his lack of trophies though. Rashford was pretty rubbish for at least 12 months and it makese sense to reserve judgement until he has proven himself on the field for an equal amount of time but that's how I feel about most of our players. Top class players win trophies, not always the major ones but they normally win something. Bryan Robson being a typical example. Yes but it’s not tennis John. There are 11 players and he’s just one of them. He can only do his job, which he is at the moment. I get that hence why I'm calling for investment in his area of the field but I struggle to get fully enthused about his form until we see proof that he can sustain it this time.

Nope literally multiple posts from posters saying its " good to see him back" (back being the key word) etc and discussing his burnout. We're just not bitter cunts and we are happy his form has returned.

People who are more reserved about Rashford's 'return to form' are not automatically bitter cunts. FFS, John summed it up as concisely as possible - we have been here before with players and this club in the last decade.

It was given offside but how well did Rashford do his job while missing what could have been the winning chance of our last Cup final? All part of a stinker performance. 'How To Be A Champion'. The really frustrating thing for me is that we are discussing this because Rashfordistas chose to start taking potshots. Instead of everyone being able to enjoy a good win. Which it was although we should have scored more. Rashford scored a really good goal, so more of the same for the next six months please!

Without wanting to put words in Karma's keyboard, I think her point is that a few good performances this season (in which we haven't actually achieved anything yet) does not simply make up for 18 months of really bad form.

Just can't see why people have to find the bad in the good all the time. He's clearly in a better place than he was 12 months ago. Someone alluded to it earlier in the thread that Rashford would have skied that shot last season. He's clearly been putting the work mentally and physically and its paying off.
The criticism I can understand to a point but for the life of my can't understand how anyone can actually dislike the guy himself.

Not saying this is the motivation of people on this board, but a lot of people “online” don’t like him because he’s a working class lad who made a load of people with really expensive educations look like fucking idiots. On a footballing basis, whatever. He was playing shit, now he’s playing well. Simple as that init.

Nobody is saying it'll make up for it and nobody is saying he's suddenly world class but it's a start, heading in the right direction. People have wanted/demanding to see him improve, he's doing exactly that. Hopefully he keeps it going.

Which as we learnt after the Euros, a lot of people “online” also don’t like.

Until recently he was generally shit for around 18 months and at most top clubs would have struggled to stay in the first team squad.(they just don’t usually give a player that amount of time before upgrading or loaning them out). Im over the moon he’s back on song but as said he needs to sustain it plus investment is still needed in all areas of the squad to keep each player at the very top of their game. But under the current Utd ownership ETH will be told rashford and martial are both back on track so no investment is needed.

The amount of abuse he had after that penalty miss was sickening. I can see how it affected him afterwards. Sancho went through the exact same thing. I hate a lot of social media for this very reason.
