There seems to be an air of confidence going into this one. Hopefully the team feels the same. In all honesty, I would be happy if the players give a good account of themselves instead of the shit show in the last 12 months against City. A draw would do here, but I think City are due a spanking  |

Yeah we made a mistake last time we played them by fielding Eriksen in midfield and we got overrun. Casemiro and Fred in midfield should give us a good chance We need to accept that right now we aren't good enough to go toe to toe with City which we tried to do disastrously early in the season. We need to neutralize them and then take our chances on the counter. A win would be nice but a draw would suffice and keep the unbeaten streak going and we can make up for it by beating Arsenal and Newcastle in the games to come. Hopefully Pep will do us a favour by overthinking and trying to be too clever and playing weird tactics or team selection that increases our chances. It was early in the system as well. I think Eriksen and Casemiro partnership has improved quite a bit since then.

Casemiro only came on in the 2nd half at 60mins and it was the half we looked slightly better. So I wouldnt write of ETH starting Eriksen + Casemiro in the middle.

I'd start Rashford upfront for this. He isn't a number 9 but we have seen earlier this season in big games with a counter attacking game plan he can do well there.

We may or may not get another tanking tomorrow but even if we do the days of us just being a shitshow run by idiots is coming to an end.
