He hasnt done a bad job there but not sure why he's starting Shaw over Martinez at CB. Bit of a risk but let's hope the gamble pays off.

Disappointed Martinez isn’t starting, not sure how we are going to cope against that alien Haaland without him, the plan must be to stop the service to him.

Good decision dropping Antony he’s too sloppy for a game like this and often neglects the defensive work.And Fred will give a bit more energy in midfield.
But strange not to see Martinez in defence.

If martial does nothing we can always move rashford up top and bring on Garnacho.

Hopefully that isn't Bruno wide; can see why he'd bring Fred in as they will have more of the ball but Bruno wide so rarely brings results. Shaw's done well enough at CB but Haaland is a very different proposition so it's frustrating Martinez doesn't come back in - if it's a World Cup hangover still then he is starting to take the piss.
All in all the XI doesn't fill me with that much confidence...

I’m ok with Bruno on the right. He and Eriksen are our best chances of creating something and I don’t want Antony out there losing the ball carelessly and not tracking back.
But our defence worries me. Malacia has been terrorised every time he comes up against a good winger. Shaw isn’t a centre back. But at least awb is good one on one. Our midfield will have its work cut out shielding our defence

obviously i would have liked to see martinez in there. but find it hilarious that shaw gets to start at CB ahead of maguire and lindelöf in such a big game

Why was Martial offside there? He had plenty of time to move on and still be in a dangerous position. Braindead.
