Some talk of Martial and Sancho being available for tonight. Would be good to give them some minutes as if we can get them firing on all cylinders they'd be upgrades on Wout and Antony.
Scotty still injured. So I guess we will have to go with Casemiro Fred and Bruno in midfield. But we can rest Varane. And probably Rashford too as Garnacho needs a bit of game time.
Should be a fun night though. We should get plenty of chances on the counter attack as they face the unenviable task of trying to make up a 3 goal deficit.

I think Casemiro will probably start this to give us a solid base in midfield. Then ahead of him and Fred we can give one of the kids such as Mainoo a run out.
Would also play Martinez alongside Lindelof to develop that partnership which we will have to fall back on when Varane needs a rest and also because Maguire doesn't deserve to captain us in a semi final even one which is already practically won.
No idea how the fitness of Martial and Sancho are. They might start from the bench and come on second half. If that is the case then may as well start with Wout and Pellistri.
But I think Erik will play a much stronger team than either of us is expecting as he's pretty conservative and has idealistic notions of respecting the opposition. Even Europa against Sheriff and Omonia he used to frustrate us with the strength of his selections.

They'll get 20-30 minutes in a good scenario. Agree that Case & Fred will start and hopefully it's Mainoo instead of Bruno. |
