Football aside as someone in the last few years has dealt with some demons myself it was a genuinely lovely moment to see Sancho score and be embraced by the fans. Hope he’s turned the corner.

Football aside as someone in the last few years has dealt with some demons myself it a genuinely lovely moment to see Sancho score and be embraced by the fans. Hope he’s turned the corner. He looked good when he came on. Seemed more comfortable on the ball. Fingers crossed. |

The team that started was clearly inadequate. The two goals conceded were from stupid errors, one from Fernandes and one from Garnacho, both were incredibly poor tonight. Garnacho was marshaled by Ayling, hardly had a sniff and when we got two brilliant chances, the 2nd which was at an open goal, he didnt take them. He's young so can give him a pass but he should have been subbed at half time. Fernandes was very poor, first for the goal and then didnt really do anything but constantly get the ball robbed off him.
No comments on Fred, complete and utter shit. He is a sub at best, never a starter.
Rashford looked alive once he moved on top, brilliant goal, and good to see Sancho having his goal too. He needs to start the next game.
About WW, this is not the type of game for him. He was completely useless. Had one or two good plays but missing the rest of the game. He has no speed to get around the back and it was end to end stuff today. It was clear it was holding us back.
One this that was super obvious, the ball was constantly bouncing back to the keeper and the center halves. If Casemiro or Erriksen had been on the pitch they would have dropped to get the ball under pressure and move it on. It's a huge miss. I think Sabitzer is a brilliant addition and hopefully he gets match fit fast, had a decent outing today, and hopefully he can have a bigger impact and we will see even less of Fred.

I know Marcus is playing out of his mind on the left but I’d try him centrally for this. We have Garnacho in top form and Sancho coming back, so are covered on the flank. But Weghorst is an awful player who offers virtually nothing so I think it’s be worth a look. I know you should be careful changing a players position when he’s in such good form but Leeds at home should be easy enough. Wout is utter shit. He does work his arse off though and he was pressing like mad on Saturday. He was a big part of why we kept winning the ball so high up. Well, in the first half anyway. I’d definitely play him against Leeds so he can get at them. They won’t be able to cope. You were right. I was wrong. I apologise with all my heart. |

I thought maybe he would win us headers and even score from a cross with his head, not even come close to either having said that have we given him a cross to get on the end of yet? |

In fairness I could see why ETH thought he might work as a stop gap, to give our main forwards a rest. But he’s truly awful and offers nothing to a team trying at least to play progressive football. So Erik made a mistake, it’s forgivable. What will be unforgivable is if he continues to make it. Weghorst cannot start another important game for Utd. If he does that’s on his head. |

But generally they shouldn't be starting, Rashford certainly not from the right. It was experimented, it didn't work. Scrap that. |
