Just watched the first half and would love to see Sabitzer in that 8 box to box. He looked a bit lost in the 6 role. The center forward in front of him completely removed him as an outlet. He will need to work harder and find the space between the lines, but overall I thought he did well. Like to keep an eye on Meslier at 22 years old he maybe worth taking on when Leeds go down. French Pickford. Too prone to an absolute howler for us.

We used to take the piss out of the Scousers when they extolled the virtues of Kuyt as a defensive attacker. Weghorst is our version, but without the occasional goal thrown in. In fairness, they were deluded enough to believe what they were saying there, whereas any half sensible United fan knows Weghorst is rubbish.
That fucking Kuyt hat trick... If Weghorst does similar for us when we go to Anfield I might reconsider my stance!

I missed the match and saw replay today, pretty much same opinion already discussed here.
On Bruno , I agree he was pretty average but even then he created 2 of the best chances for Garnacho in the first 26 mins. Score even 1 of that and we win the match.

Maybe I'm in the minority of 1 here but I always liked (through gritted teeth) Kuyt. He was Liverpool's Park, unfussy, worked his socks off, good for a goal, would follow instructions to a tee.
I'd have had him here.

They called him everything apart from what he was - headless chicken.

Anyway- given the way the fixtures fall over the next few weeks, we could actually get back into the title race, bonkers as it sounds. Given the paper-thin squad it will be fools gold but it might be nice at the very least to dream again for a bit.

Its a pity we have so many injured or suspended at the moment with other teams semi imploding it would be great for things to go our way for a change.
A win today is vital.

I think we’ve said it on here all season that our lack of squad depth will eventually bite us on the arse. losing both Casemiro and eriksen is a killer for us.
