Interviewing for promotion at work on Wednesday. Haven’t had the stomach since the game to do any prep, I can’t concentrate at all at the moment. Just feel sick.

Who have also started in practically all of our bad defeats this season. They don’t get a pass either. Along with De Gea. Rough with the smooth. Just like my nuts when the manscaper runs out of juice. Should power it with batteries. Juice is never going to last.

Interviewing for promotion at work on yesterday. Haven’t had the stomach since the game to do any prep, I can’t concentrate at all at the moment. Just feel sick. I like in sympathy, not because I actually like. I know how you feel, to the letter. Can't concentrate in work. It's like I've witnessed a car crash with multiple catastrophic injuries/deaths.

Last time I felt this gutted is when I had to cancel a city break to Paris just before we went into lockdown.
Booked for April 2020 and the weather was fucking glorious that week as well.

This fanbase and rough with the smooth very rarely go together. Some people will be out with their pitch forks the moment certain players have a poor game. They have a great game though and they stay quiet waiting for the chance to pounce again. It's impossible to make any excuses for any of them yesterday. You say Rashford started in every bad defeat this season and you're right. But nothing said about the reverse fixtures this season where he scored the winner in all of them. I also included other players in that list. Not my fault you’re upset by his inclusion. There is a very odd assumption by some people on here that others are 'waiting to pounce' on certain players or the manager when bad results happen. The actual context of results/reasons are completely ignored.

You’re going to let a football match fuck up real life? Priorities lad. Remember these people go to sleep not giving even 10% of fucks about this as you do. They live lives most of us will never live and this will pass for them by the next training session. Your life and family comes first. Don’t be silly now.

I don't disagree with the list entirely and as I said there's no excusing any of them yesterday, Rashford included but he seems to be one player in particular that gets slated this season and has been one of the best players in Europe. No player is beyond criticism but there are far worse than hardly get a mention.

I work with 3 scousers so the thought of not having to go in this morning was a welcome one 😂.

Losing 7-0 to Liverpool is season defining though. Nothing we do for the rest of the season changes or improves it. I can't believe I'm actually typing about Manchester United losing 7-0 to Liverpool. Top three wasn't a brilliant anything before this. Two trophies was the bare minimum before this. There is no glossing this up. Yesterday was historic. It's the worst moment I have ever experienced watching United bar none. It genuinely feels surreal, unfathomable. I literally shake when I think about it. The magnitude of this cannot be willed away by scratching for positivity. This kind of humiliation transcends the sport. I understand where you're coming from. Hypothetically, if at the beginning of the season you were offered a 3rd place finish in the league, the League Cup, FA Cup and Europa League - but you had to endure a big hiding to Liverpool - would you have taken it? Also, in this scenario, Liverpool don't finish in the top 4, and perhaps not even top 5. I probably would (and that can still happen), considering how long it's been since United won a trophy, particularly when keeping in mind all the conversations we've had about how some/all players cannot be considered truly great if they haven't contributed to winning a trophy. Sometimes you lose a battle, but win multiple wars - I would remember this (hypothetical) season for the three trophies and not the one hammering. What I meant by that is it's the sort of result that gets into pop culture - politicians throwing in some comment about it to show how zeitgeist they are our other irritating rubbish. And those fuckers at Paddypower will have a field day. 😭😭😭

You’ve repeatedly said he needed to win something with his goals to win you over. Which he has now done. But that’s forgotten about now because he was one of 11 players that started yesterday? That’s fair is it? It isn't forgotten about. Who said it was? Show me the post that says that. Basically all my negative posts from yesterday are aimed at Fernandes. Literally my only involvement in this was defending Karma because she mentioned Rashford in a post with other players who have been around for the other humiliations over the last few seasons and was immediately pulled up for it. Rashford wasn't even being singled out. Then you start going in on me with two feet about 'through gritted teeth' praise when that is clearly untrue and once again labelling any criticism of Rashford as being based on a political agenda because that is what *you* have decided is fact. I'm telling you, again, that is simply is not. Which you then suggest is me lying to myself, or something? Why the need to defend Karma on this? Nobody is claiming Rashford is above criticism for yesterday because none of the players are. My problem is with him being placed on a list of repeat offenders because he happened to be picked to play in our heaviest defeats this season (imagine that, your best players getting picked for big games?) and the clear implication being put on that list has. However, she’s long advocated for his being sold so I suppose it’s not a surprise, despite being absolutely ridiculous. I don’t even know why I’m bothering getting in to this to be honest. It’s a complete waste of time

It’s a complete waste of time I defended Karma because I thought it was unfair to visibly heatseek on her inclusion of Rashford just because some are hyperaware of any criticism towards him. Her post was also very clearly about the broader picture of previous seasons (and managers) rather than this season. Honestly not sure why I need a reason to defend anyone on this forum if they are getting it in the neck unfairly. It is also not ridiculous to have suggested - at the time - that Rashford possibly needed to be sold. Up until this December he has been in poor form and particularly over the previous 12/18 months. Even Paul Scholes (I think) said that a few weeks ago. It is not as patently ridiculous as you try to make out.

If you’re going for Rashford you may as well throw Casemiro in there too. He was atrocious in every which way yesterday. Was poor and sloppy from the off and I believe went a long way to setting the standard for the rest of the day.

Although given the fact she has literally (and I mean literally) never given Rashford a single piece of praise this season despite his form, hardly a shock.
