Bruno was horrible yesterday and I’m not defending him but I did hear that that whole incident was made up by Neville. Perhaps footage exists and if it does of course I’ll hold my hands up but supposedly it’s more shit stirring by him. Nah, Neville is a shit stirrer but there is a fan video of Fernandes shrugging at our bench when he was about to kick off after the sixth goal and he wasn't the person being subbed. It's on Twitter - I'll see if I can find it. Yeah saw the video but can we say that meant he wanted to come off? I don't see it to be fair

Rashford was not the only player included in Karma's post, yet that was the only name you leapt to crucify her for. Because of the clear implication. I fucking had to.

Which is what? That Rashford has been an integral part of a squad that has delivered our worse half decade for thirty years? How is that unfair? Or wrong? The implication is that everyone on that list needs to be replaced, including Rashford. That implication comes from Karma, not you, before you say it. And she may deny it but it’s there in her history. As I said, not a single mention of his exploits since the World Cup, not one mention of a superb goal or the one he scored last week. But as soon as the final whistle went, there he was on the ‘uncomfortable truths’ list. Just because Rashford has had a purple patch since December should not mean he is now beyond question. Maybe it was to be replaced, maybe it is was to not be an automatic starter. There is more bad than good in Rashford's column. For me he really has looked like he has flicked the switch and has been let down by the team around/behind him but to shut off any discussion of a question mark about him is ridiculous.

It depends on what the discussion is. If it’s ‘That was unacceptable yesterday and he, like our other major players need to get their shit together quickly’ then yes, have that discussion. However, Karma’s post was not that, it was ‘He needs to be replaced, like all the others on this list’. And that my friend, is ridiculous.

Why does three months of good wipe out six years of bad? Disagree that Rashford should be sold/replaced (I do, because if he has flicked the switch then he has plenty of years to rebalance) but mooting it is not ridiculous. Maybe as one of the common denominators in abject failure, he is one of the reasons for that failure and needs to go and the last three months are the anomaly not the last six years.

The way I see it the criticism wasn't about quality per se as obviously Rashford has been top quality since the start of the year but more about mentality. There is still a softness to our squad. Bringing in Casemiro has helped cover it up. But we shouldn't crumble the one game he doesn't show up. And too many of our players go missing or start throwing their hands up in the air when things don't go our way.

I've lost count of the number of times Barcelona wiped the floor with Real Madrid. Especially in the Mourinho era when Real had assembled a squad straight out of FM.
People talk more of the multiple champions leagues and other trophies they've won rather than those results.
Yesterday was a fucking freakshow. We've gotten battered and lost with huge margins but yesterday was fuckin nuts. 8 shots on target leading to 7 goals does not happen a lot.
It's like when all the planets align at the right time to summon Ctulhu.
Win the other 2 trophies now. Get the new owners in. Win the league next season.

Similar with Shaw who had an absolute shocker yesterday. Both full backs yesterday need dropping for next game. If we had the squad for it I’d drop more.

If you’re going for Rashford you may as well throw Casemiro in there too. He was atrocious in every which way yesterday. Was poor and sloppy from the off and I believe went a long way to setting the standard for the rest of the day. Ah no, you see, he hasn’t been here for years and isn’t responsible for all the clubs failings in that time. Basically no matter what he does it will never be enough because past seasons will always be brought into it. Don't praise him for this season, no forget that but bring up past seasons the moment he has an off game. I couldn't give a fuck about past seasons, I prefer to look forwards, not backwards. He's not the player he was in those previous seasons and hasn't been all season. I'm all for players being called out and criticised constructively. But at least have the decency to play the other side and give the same players credit when they deserve it.

That being said this thread needs to be locked in a box and thrown into the deepest part of the ocean.

Tell you what, I bet Casemiro won’t perform that badly again now he knows he might end up on someone’s list.

Tell you what, I bet Casemiro won’t perform that badly again now he knows he might end up on someone’s list. Did read this morning that apparently he was ill. Plus early on he looked like he took a knock. Not making excuses for him but may have played a part in why he was so off.
