I've lost count of the number of times Barcelona wiped the floor with Real Madrid. Especially in the Mourinho era when Real had assembled a squad straight out of FM. People talk more of the multiple champions leagues and other trophies they've won rather than those results. Yesterday was a fucking freakshow. We've gotten battered and lost with huge margins but yesterday was fuckin nuts. 8 shots on target leading to 7 goals does not happen a lot. It's like when all the planets align at the right time to summon Ctulhu. Win the other 2 trophies now. Get the new owners in. Win the league next season. Problem with that theory is that we only have three European Cups. They have three in the last five years. |

Ah no, you see, he hasn’t been here for years and isn’t responsible for all the clubs failings in that time. I couldn't give a fuck about past seasons, I prefer to look forwards, not backwards. He's not the player he was in those previous seasons and hasn't been all season. I'm all for players being called out and criticised constructively. But at least have the decency to play the other side and give the same players credit when they deserve it. You're talking rubbish. Just parroting absolute fantasy. |

Why? Why does three months of good wipe out six years of bad? Disagree that Rashford should be sold/replaced (I do, because if he has flicked the switch then he has plenty of years to rebalance) but mooting it is not ridiculous. Maybe as one of the common denominators in abject failure, he is one of the reasons for that failure and needs to go and the last three months are the anomaly not the last six years. Similar with Shaw who had an absolute shocker yesterday. Both full backs yesterday need dropping for next game. If we had the squad for it I’d drop more. Yeah I can fully see AWB and Malacia starting the next game. The fresh legs especially on the left will prove a good decision and if he plays well i expect he plays Sunday aswell. I do like Shaw though, I have a soft spot for him, Always torn when it comes to getting rid of him. I appreciate this is a view very few will share though |

Basically no matter what he does it will never be enough because past seasons will always be brought into it. Just because you dont agree with it doesnt make it rubbish. It's something that keeps happening. Every so often it's brought up about his past seasons being poor. While this is true this season he has seemingly turned a corner whether people want to admit it or not. That should be the focus on him as a player, not continuous comparisons to previous seasons. If he reverts back to how he was before then fine, but he hasn't, so it shouldn't. |

My stomach fell to the floor when that little sideshow bob looking motherfucker twisted him into knots and left him a mess on the floor for the 4th goal. |

Dalot on the other hand shouldn’t have started. Mostly I keep coming back to Bruno starting on the left. Really poor decision that, given their RB can’t defend and has had issues with Rashford in the past. I just think we lose a lot having Rashford centrally. It’s hard for him to get into the game there. When he gets the ball, there’s nowhere to run with it. But we don’t have a capable striker really. I’d like the idea of that fluid three where Rashford can come inside at times, but mostly find space on the left. But that’s a pipe dream init with the current ownership etc. |

Yes there were without doubt some odd selections and tactical changes that clearly backfired, was it down to the players not liking the tactics ? Looked like they weren’t up for it and it’s not like the scousers are anything special they were thrashed by Real last week, our form went out the window it’s very odd.

watched it all, beyond gutted.
I'm philosophical in that defeat, it was THE most humbling experience and hopefully will be the final one we need before the season is over. We aren't the finished article yet and that loss will ring in the ear of many for some time. ETH wont soon forget that humiliation and by extension, so too the squad.
