Bruno isn't doing his job at captain. And really I am a bit disappointed that Erik hasn't done a lot more to cut out all the whining and complaining that Bruno does on the pitch. It sets a very bad example and if he spent as much time talking to his teammates as he does talking to referees it would do the team a world of good. Erik made the excuse earlier this year that Casemiro can't be captain because his English isn't good enough. But surely it has improved enough by now for him to take on that role? Bringing Sabitzer into our midfield would be a positive to come out of the Liverpool defeat. He was Leipzig captain. Has a lot of experience and quality. And will ease some of the burden on Casemiro. A Capt leads by example,attitude,mentality.effort ,ability should be the very last criteria. Even if he wasn't asking to come off, the rest of his performance was not how a capt should be leading a side. The likes of Buchan,Robson,Bruce & Keane would never have turned in a performance like that,especially when it was going so badly,you would normally have seen even more from them in such a shit a situation like that. |

I've been trying to distance myself from the histrionics and outrage following this loss, but this made me genuinely angry. What the fuck was he thinking? I've been coming around to him, and started to think maybe he could come in permanently as a squad player, but not now. Did he sing along with YNWA as well? Fuck him out the door. |

Bruno has created the most chances from open play of any player in this league this season. It’s fucking stupid to say he isn’t talented or doing his job. As usual we’ve got certain characters ready to make a handful of players the scapegoat for every thing. That being said, he isn’t a captain. He was a makeshift captain and this game proved he shouldn’t carry the armband. That isn’t a mark on Bruno whatsoever. The best player doesn’t have to be the captain. The best leader does - and that’s Casemiro imo. Exactly this. Saying Bruno isn't good enough is just fucking moronic. But you'd never have seen Keane or Vidic behave like that on Sunday and for a captain that's the level we should be looking at in a leader. I love Brunos passion and love for the club but it's not the same as leadership. He throws too many tantrums and it comes across as quite childish. Stick to what he's good at. Given how he was the only one that was screaming at the players at FT to go and at least apologise to the fans I'd give it to Varane. Casemiro or Licha are the other 2 options. |
