Bruno’s been shunted out wide recently to make way for Weghorst to play as a 10, which to me is just mental.
I like Bruno. Think he’s a good player who works hard. Not hitting the heights of his first couple of seasons evidently, but I really don’t think we have a viable alternative at present. Beyond someone like Sancho playing there, who hasn’t been impressive himself and doesn’t press like Bruno does (which is part of what the manager wants, as you can see by him persisting with Weghorst).
His conduct was clearly poor the other day, hard to really defend that. But I certainly wouldn’t come on here calling him a rat.

These are statistics compiled by Opta. I've gone with this year's premier league campaign. Maybe according to you De Bruyne is useless too considering he's lost the ball the most among these 3? As you can clearly see, most of your griping is baseless. The only difference between de Bruyne and Bruno is he's got fucking Haaland while we've got Hahahahahahaaland. De bruyne also doesn't nearly work on the defensive aspect of the game like Bruno does, as is evidenced by the ball recoveries stat. Yes, he had a bad day. That's about it. The rest of your problems with him are somewhat similar to your issue with Rashford. Something has rubbed you wrong and now you won't stop. Compare the Bruno we have now with his first two seasons at the club where he genuinely did carry us in midfield and saved Oles job and our season. There's no comparison in my opinion. He's stagnating and needs a kick in the hole. The opinions on allowing them to redeem themselves is horseshit in my opinion. We've conceded 16 goals in two years to these pricks, redemption seems impossible. This is always going to be the problem with Bruno though. What he did in his first 18 months was set a bar so high that its nearly impossible to maintain. He carried us, no question but that's because we had shit around us that weren't doing it. Now we do. We dont have to rely on Bruno as much as we originally needed to which is a good thing. Where his goals and assists have dropped since, he's improved in other areas, his work rate and energy is 2nd to none for starters. I'm not making excuses for him but he's played so much football this season that it wouldn't shock me if he's physically and mentally shattered. I'm not saying he's shouldn't be held accountable but there are worse players in this side that should be getting focused on before him.

Perhaps it’s bias but it seems to me Bruno will make unforced costly errors at the wrong time. Take for example the 5th yellow card for Casemiro. It was mindless stuff from Bruno, which forced Casemiro into a straight yellow foul causing him to miss the away trip to Arsenal. This is one example but there are more than a few. In terms of footballing brains, De Bruyne will always be a level (or two) above Bruno. I can’t see us legitimately challenging for the league with Bruno as our focal point in attack, he’s just too hot and cold in terms of consistency.

Must be that personal vendetta you're carrying for me.

I see you've conveniently missed the part where I said "he's improved in other areas" though. So no he hasn't gotten worse.

This snow is gonna be a right pain. Not looking forward to the stadium walk. I despise snow with a pure passion.

A win tonight by a good number of goals and clean sheet would help start the healing process.
Their position is La Liga indicates they are a good team but honestly we need to put them to the sword and do the damage first half so energy is conserved in the 2nd half. If there is any issue with Casemiro, I'd simply not risk him.

It would mean we can rest a few in the follow up fixture and then play Fulham with some freshness. I appreciate it's one game at a time but FA cup semi final would be another step towards more trophies, same as goals galore tonight. Let's be honest it's the best apology the team can give the fans
