The annoying thing is I want half of these dropped but with us playing home first I want us taking full advantage of it and getting one foot into the quarters. So we're gonna need them all.
I do want to see a response to that nonsense on Sunday though.

As I mentioned in the Liverpool thread, these guys are decent and seem very well organised at the back. They’re not particularly dangerous going forward but this will be a cagey affair over the two legs. W need to be very careful.

Back to basics I think. Erik has been trying to be a bit too clever with this stupid Wout as a number 10 experiment. Rashford isn't a striker and is so much more effective on the left. And with Wout as a number 10 our midfield gets too easily outnumbered and overwhelmed. It is not ideal but at least Wout as a number 9 has a bit of nuisance value and creates space for players behind him and it doesn't matter if he gets a bit isolated upfront because he is shit anyway.
Casemiro probably needs to sit this one out. He didn't look right against Liverpool. I'd almost think about bringing in Scotty alongside Sabitzer. He's less of a defensive liability than Fred who has probably exhausted his quota of good games for us and formed an OK partnership with Eriksen early in the season until Casemiro was bedded in.
What we need is a solid professional performance. That will help us get back on track.
