Having consequences for shaming the club in a way not suffered since 1895 is not pointless. I'm not saying the consequences are pointless. I'm saying the timing is. We're 3/4 into the season and are intending on challenging for two more trophies. We don't have the squad to just be dropping half the side (even though they deserve it). Without risking a competition that we look good for doing well in. If we had the squad I'd drop most of them after Sunday. It was unforgivable and being pissed off about is an understatement. But I'm not willing to throw two potential trophies away just to teach some of these a lesson. They've been given a final warning by Ten Hag and he's already proved he's not afraid of making difficult decisions. I'll trust he knows what he's doing and will sort the shit out once and for all. Agree Erik will be looking to steady the ship after *that game* the squad isn’t big enough to change much around even though Bruno isn’t playing or behaving well, come the summer and we get a wealthy owner big changes should and will happen. |

I'd leave it as it is now until the end of the season. Its pointless changing things now . With luck Maguire won't be here anyway in the summer so will have to pick a new full time captain anyway. Personally I think Bruno is a fantastic player but doesn't have the right temperament to be a captain. I'd give it to Varane, Licha or Casemiro in the summer ready for next season. There have been some big hammerings over the last few years too, that Spurs mauling comes to mind and that was insanely irksome just because it's fucking Spurs. Suppose my point is that ripping up the fabric of what we've been building so well based on one result, whilst we're realistically still competing for two trophies, is perhaps a risky approach. We need a new club captain after Maguire is replaced, reckon that should be Casemiro. |

People clamoring for it and then having fits when it doesn't happen is weird, to say the least. Next season or before the next season begins, that's when I expect/hope for Casemiro to be named captain. |

Its probably about trying to retain "some" stability in a rocked boat, I think and hope Erik has sat Bruno down and had a stern word he wont get away with it again. Casemiro will surely get the armband if Bruno doesent knuckle down. |

It also carries the risk of it causing unrest in the dressing room, an unrest we seem to have mostly extinguished since getting rid of certain ego's. None of us know what goes on behind closed doors. Rashford has come out and said how much Bruno has helped players so dropping him as captain to prove a point after one horrific result could do more damage than good. Given the current position we're in with two trophies well within reach I'd say its far too much of a gamble to do it at this stage. Get the season over with, new captain and a winning mentality going into next season. |
