6 pages for a league matchday thread, 14 hours post match. It's Wouts fault, isn't it.. It’s mostly his fault. The game not being televised didn’t help either.

Between now and the end of the season, we simply need wins, don't care how, just need them. Come summer, we have to address matters and then next season we really see what the manager is about.
If the owner we are hoping for comes in, there really should be nowhere to hide for anyone

I think he’s doing a fantastic work and am excited to see what we’ll achieve with him, proper football people placed in decision making positions, and ambitious owners.

Read a stat today that he’s second behind Pep on points for first 28 games ahead of Klopp and Arteta. However it depends what happens from here. I’d argue the second transfer summer is more important than the first which is why it’s so important the swamp is drained asap.

ETH has done well, the evidence is there to see. I think it's only logical one can fully judge what he is about next season more especially if the appropriate action is taken in the summer. If Murtough can't sell and the Glazers are still around then he will be in the same position he is now, hoping others drop points, hoping the good players stay fit, hoping referees and Var do their job and hoping the 'not good enough' players play out their skin. If we do the needful, he will be expected to go toe to toe with Pep, potentially a resurgent scouse, the gooners, potentially a firing Chelsea and he will also be in the champions league.

Eth didn’t buy a lot of this squad and shifting some of them on those rediculous wages means he’s been stuck with them, it could take up to two years to mould the squad as he wants it hopefully with new wealthy owners, lots still to do.

I agree.

Here's a crazy stat .
United have conceded the least amount of goals at home this season with 8.
Unfortunately, United have conceded the 4th most away from home with 29. Only Leicester, Leeds, Bournemouth and Forest have conceded more.
That's a mentality issue for me and not remotely shocking when you see us on the pitch. At least we are turning Old Trafford into something of a fortress again but we really need to sort that away form out.

As I’ve said before I think the empty stadiums papered over issues with that away from during lockdown. That and the majority of this team are still poor.

I think it is too early really to make a firm conclusion on Erik. All we can say at this point is that he deserves at least another season on the basis that: a) He has won a trophy and are on course to qualify for Champions League football next season b) The dressing room seems to have more togetherness and all the leaks seem to have stopped c) He has managed to get Rashford firing on all cylinders d) He has made Maguire rot on the bench the entire season e) Unlike Ole he seems to get it. i.e. trophies do matter, losing is not OK etc.
To be fully convinced I would need to see him (assuming adequate backing)
a) Complete the rebuild and assemble a squad that can challenge for the title and the Champions League. We cannot count every summer on world class players like Varane and Casemiro feeling like a new challenge. Or players as good as Eriksen being available on a free and wanting to join us. Nor can we continue to treat Ajax as a feeder club. And we really do need to get rid of mediocrity like Maguire, Lindelof, Scotty, Sancho and Donny. And we cannot count on unlimited funds so we need a manager who is really good at recruitment and is able to develop players rather than needing to buy the finished product. b) See if he can achieve his vision of us really controlling and dominating games and doing so in style. Again partly dependent on bringing in the right players but at this club winning things isn't enough the football also needs to be a joy to watch and as fans we deserve as little squeaky bum time as possible so scraping wins needs to be a much rarer occurrence
