Even that Anfield massacre, if we’d scored the numerous chances before they went 1-0 up… We've had a couple of really bad losses this year, so I'm yet to be convinced about us defensively. The best defenses produce under pressure, they don't ship 7 goals at anfield and give 4 goals away over 2 legs after being 2-0 up |

The best defenses produce under pressure, they don't ship 7 goals at anfield and give 4 goals away over 2 legs after being 2-0 up 6 of those at the Scouse in 45 minutes too! We really should have put that game to bed in the first half 🤬🤬😡 |

We've conceded far less, and whilst Maguire is a liability the big issue is a lack of output up front. |

We've conceded far less, and whilst Maguire is a liability the big issue is a lack of output up front. i believe we have the 3rd or 4th best defensive record in the league, even ahead of arsenal. which is mental considering the brentford, city and liverpool games. edit: almost half of these goals were conceded in those 3 games. |

Defensively the improvement has been huge, as you would have hoped/expected for that with the huge leap in quality we have as starters. The defensive diamond (Gk, CB-CB, DM) is as good as we have had for a decade. We really need significantly more productive/efficient attackers. |
