I don't think he'll be the long term GK, but a new contract on reduced terms with the understanding that he might not start every game suits me just fine. Gives us another 1-2 years to sort out other parts of the squad and bring in a young protege. He'll keep building his legacy at United and hopefully get to win a pot or two still, win win. Wouldn't get rid this summer because we have to spend the money in far more concerning postions. He has made some daft mistakes but then games like today he ends helping us win us games aswell. Hes saved us 100x more than he's cost us, problem with a goalkeeper is the latter is always highlighted first. this. we’ve far more pressing issues than DDG(about 8 or 9 more pressing issues)

Hopefully the summer will remedy most of that issue. The Westham game was a prime example. Dave howler aside our attacking players should have made that mistake irrelevant with the chances we had.

Spurs and palace away where 2 other prime examples of our attack being borderline championship level.

Almost there now. Everything is about the sale at this point. If we can get rid of these pricks, it would be a great summer.

Agree. Our defence is given an unfairly hard time. When you strip out the Liverpool, Manchester City and Brentford defeats our goals conceded is pretty much on par with Newcastle and Manchester City. And while Dave has made a few howlers he's also made very important saves that have kept us in games and the 17 clean sheets this season speaks for itself.
Goals scored is on par with midtable clubs and only because Rashford had a brief purple patch. But even then he's only managed 16 Premier League goals this season which is a good return but not enough when you consider the contributions of our other attacking players. Antony, Bruno, Sancho, Wout, Martial have only managed 20 Premier League goals between them! That is absolutely pathetic. And the zero goals Wout has managed in the Premier League in 16 appearances makes us look like a total joke. We've signed some turkeys in the past....but we didn't compound the error by playing them to the extent we played Wout.
Bringing in a centre forward who can score 20+ goals will certainly help when you consider that the various centre forwards we've played this season (Ronaldo, Martial, Wout, occasionally Rashford) have barely managed ten goals between them. But really we need to be scoring 70+ Premier League goals a season so we will also need Antony and Bruno to step up and start hitting double figures and if they can't then they will need replacing as well.

I’m really not arsed that we didn’t get Gakpo, never fancied him and he’s not exactly been banging them in for the filth.

He's been a bit underwhelming at Liverpool but then it's still a better option than what we ended with.. The part that annoys me is Ten Hag wasn't backed in that window. If he was there at the very least we could be looking at a Europran cup final to be looking towards. Guaranteed we'd be in a better postion than we are atm if we signed a proper striker. The chances the likes of Bruno and Eriksen create would be a strikers heaven.

Our problem, aberrations aside, is not actually defensive.
