Honestly, I don’t think this is on the manager. These players are either too thick, too scared or too shit to play how he wants. You can argue all day about the owners, and you’d be right. How Maguire, Dalot and some others get a game here, still, is a Mensa level puzzle. You can point to City or Real or even PSG, but truth is we’re millennia away from those clubs, and honestly I’d kill for 11 Clayton Blackmores than watch this shite!

Some of these players are thick that’s for sure, don’t recognise danger, don’t recognise and use space intelligently and just fail to do basic stuff like pass a ball to a teammate from 5 yards comfortably

Take a look at their set up when they’re behind the ball, 2 solid banks of 3 and close to their back four which keeps them a tight unit, we however are all over the shop with gaping holes which they can easily play through
When we go forward we have 4 or 5 players in a line across the front with fuck all in midfield, none of them move, no one drops off to allow the wingers to make runs inside etc

There is not a single player in that starting 11 who is good enough to play regularly for Manchester United.
Reguilon is decent and hojlund is young with plenty of potential, thats it.

So many thick fuck players in this team with below average level football IQ. A player like Dalot is technically decent, but thick as fuck and doesn't know when to run forward at times. Maguire just makes you weep it so slow with him and Onana is just a waste.
It's so bad it's just hard to watch
