Thought the same on Sat and we scraped it against a team that's bottom of the league with a dull, uninspiring performance. Expecting more of the same but with a more convincing score. Drop Rashford and Antony and play Garnacho and Pellestri. |

This will be a struggle. Don’t think the death of Sir Bobby has any impact on whether or not we play well, nor should it. We’re shite. You can’t just turn it on because someone has died. I didn’t expect us to be any better than we were at the weekend. Can’t just go “right we’re good today”, click of the fingers, 4-0 win.
Even with the Munich anniversary all those years ago against City, we got beat I think. And we were a good side then. Sometimes the shadow of something like this can increase the pressure to perform. We were overwhelmed that day.
Every game for me now is just try to get the result. Not arsed about the performance anymore, because we’re wank. Just hope to win for the time being and maybe something will change later, be it Ratcliffe or whatever. Maybe just the end of the season to reset again.
Damage limitation now anyway in this competition as we’re all but knocked out.

Next 3 games are Copenhagen, Manchester City and Newcastle.
Losing 3 games in a row would increase the pressure on Erik and tonight is the most winnable game so must-win really.
Also we still have an outside chance at 2nd place and I really do not want to be in the Europa League again. So there is that to play for as well.

I’m going to this but I’m more interested in the mood of our fanbase with the recent Bobby Charlton and takeover stuff than probably the game itself.
As said above lose this and then the next 2 will probably see the vultures circling around ETH.
