Difference is that the honeymoon for Erik seems to have only lasted about 6 months and he bought more players than any of his predecessors and handpicked them to a much greater extent.
Jose had 2 good seasons. Even Ole had 2 1/2 seasons where he met the minimum expectations.
There are more similarities with LVG who also bought a bunch of players with no real rhyme and reason and no one could figure out exactly what he was trying to do on the pitch and also only managed to get us playing well and getting results for about 6 months.

It's a shame some of these players haven't got 10% of the determination Hannibal has. As a walking red card he's still got more about him than half of these.

The most damning thing for me is that when this draw was made, all my Newcastle supporting friends were celebrating. It was a great draw for them, they knew they'd got an easy route to the next round.
Sums up how fucked we are.
