For all the talk of him suddenly being a good signing because he made some ok saves and avoided making a clanger for about 4 weeks, without this absolute wally in goal we’re top four and through to the next round of Champions League at a canter. The bloke is shite. Also the manager’s fault for signing the fool. Yeah, I tried to be positive...but he's fucked up, as has most of his signings. |

I think I'm also about 99% done with the manager now too.
Was in the camp of it don't matter who we get, its always gonna be shit until the owners change.
I'd rather a new kind of shit.

Normally he doesn't make a sub but here he made them with 30 minutes to go. It was premature and to be honest a real clanger because we fell to bits really quickly. Onana is the primary culprit but Martial ducking on his own penalty spot doesn't help and that's on ETH for bringing him on. Tactically he's proven abit of a lemon this season. |

We just can't enjoy nice things can we.
We could be 5-0 up against a team and still couldn't have complete faith we'd win.
Praised Onana a lot lately and he goes and does that 🤦♂️. First I can get past but the 2nd just isn't acceptable at this level.
That being said I don't out the entire blame on him either. We bluffed countless chances and the in game management cost us again. Pellstri should have come on for Antony, not Garnacho.
Still too many bluffers wearing a shirt that don't deserve to. Same shit, different week.

Going two goals in front away and it was looking good but that back four haven’t got a clue how to defend, Onana’s just not up to it what a shocking signing he’s been like Antony.
You just can’t get carried away with this lot it can all change in a heartbeat.

I backed Onana but you cannot do that at this (or any) level. Just diabolical. Play Heaton. He’s solid and unspectacular, which is all we need for now.

Onana has been so much better lately, but he’s still very capable of that shit tonight and that’s a worrying sign. He has made so many errors in the CL that I’d put our inevitable exit all at his door. Without those errors, we’d be close to qualification.
He’s our number one for the foreseeable so just gotta get on with it for now.

So depressing.
Onana has played well in recent weeks for sure; but that's a good 5 or 6 goals he has been directly responsible for and that any decent 'keeper should save. De Gea was doing that in a season in recent years and we hammered him as not good enough, and were right to do so, as a top 'keeper makes 1 or 2 goal coasting errors a season. Onana is on for about 15 this year if he keeps this up. That is League 1 level goalkeeping, and having Maguire and Lindelof in front of you is not an excuse.
Every single opposition this season should have scored a minimum of 3 goals, every last one of them. Some good saves by Onana but also rank bad finishing and good luck has helped United out. Not once have I gotten through a game and looked back thinking "Easy, they never had a real chance all game". It's been "Got the win but fuck me they missed a couple of sitters there, on another day we're punished".
Only positive is the young players, Mainoo at 18, Garnacho 19, Hojlund 20, they point to a positive future. Everything else just makes you want to weep.
Still believe ETH deserves the season and a proper structure behind him to see what he can do, but he's really testing the faith now to be honest.
And the whole takeover is just making it even more depressing. Been weeks on end now it was going to be "this week" it was sorted and absolutely nothing happening. Fuck it all.
