I see the Maguire revisionism is actually taking hold. Amazing. It has fuck all to do with it. It's called seeing and saying it as it is. Tonight he was our best player. It’s as simple as that. And that is pretty damning.

Yet for poor finishing we could have been on the end of an actual battering. 🧐 And Maguire had a hand in stopping that battering. Nobody is saying give the guy a new contract but fuck me the guy can't do wrong for doing right.

Again no one is saying Maguire should be a starting CD in our team. But fucking hell give the man a break. He was nowhere near the problem today or Wednesday.

Player hatred clouds the judgement of so many. Wouldn't mind if he was shite but past few weeks he's actually been decent. Still needs upgrading (to stop any hint of revisionism) but a player performs well they should be praised for it.

It is damming because he’s a poor football player. I will say though I do find it admirable that’s he’s somehow managed to navigate through what must have been an horrendous period of his life in terms of mental health, especially that England Scotland game. I think other players in our squad could maybe learn something from that.

The more and more was get bitch slapped around the pitch by teams like Newcastle and Galatasaray the more I question ETH. This shouldn't happen to point where we look like Reading and they look like Real Madrid. Cant take the ball off them all 10 of their field players had touches in our box and we had a whopping 2 in theirs at one point... this is massively embarrassing. Honest question, do we sell Rashford? He is just looks like a cancer with his play and attitude, like at this point we need to get something for him and just move on with Garnacho on the left permanently. We missed the boat to sell Rashford, instead we gave him a massive contract for 4 months excellent work. Rashford is a midtable striker at best. Actually I'm not sure I'd brand him as a striker. All the bs about him playing on the right. He's a forward, he should be able to play along the front 3. It's not like he's been amazing on the left this season.

Such a poor team. Dull and brain dead. You were watching in the 80s right stew? This is miles worse than big Ron for me… probably even Sexton It’s certainly up there. Watching Utd then was a complete chore. Just like now sadly.

I’ve been a consistent defender of Rashford for years because i always thought he was over played and was exposed to toxic managers etc. After last year I genuinely thought this was it for him, that he was going to push on and be that player for us but he’s failed us miserably. I don’t think it’s a talent issue with him because he’s being playing well for England this year …. I think he just doesn’t have it mentally to be that man for us.

ETH is being a complete fool waiting for him to come good. We've been waiting along time for it but maybe it's time to realise that time has gone.

Yes we are in that territory now with his age that this might be it. He’s a much better player than Lingard was but i thought we did the same with Jesse. “ he’s still young” etc. But at that point he’s 27-28. You watch Foden just win a champions league game for city midweek aged 23 and you start to connect the dots…

A few years ago I got pelters on here for suggesting selling him. He’s a streaky player who has long periods of doing nothing and we rewarded him with a new contract.
