Didn’t see the game I am pleased to say… How was Mainoo? I understood it was a shitshow but I am looking for positives… I thought he was fine considering how deep we played and how much Newcastle pressed us. He looked composed on the ball and didn’t fuck up… that’s pretty good for us

My word, his interviews are becoming so similar to Ole’s. Embarrassing.

Scary thing is I remember the days where we used to batter teams like that on a regular basis aswell.
Genuinely can't recall the last game where we battered a team like that. Goes to show a realistic view of how far we are away from anywhere near to where we need to be.

He’s bluffing his way to his severance pay, it’s a good job the Glazers are as slow as they are.

On Goal, player ratings from the match. Rashford giving a fucking 1. I have never seen a rating at a 1 before and that’s saying something. You would have had to pick up a straight red after 30 seconds of the first half to see such a critique in the press.
Headline from Goal. Man Utd player ratings vs Newcastle: Shockingly bad Marcus Rashford hits new low as rudderless Red Devils are completely outplayed & outfought.
Marcus Rashford (1/10):
As bad a performance as you could possibly imagine. Barely touched the ball and never bothered to track back. With him on the pitch, United were playing with 10. Subbed for Antony on the hour and he was fortunate to get that much time.

Bestie (and karma !) were absolutely right on Rashford, he is another one who needs to be moved on, he is 26 and supposed to be in his prime years.
He hit that purple patch right when his contract was up for renewal, very convenient.
Poor form is one thing, poor effort is not excusable from any player.

This team has gone downhill ever since Marty arrived. Rashy needs to go also.Worst United team I've seen.

Beginning to think this manager is done. Don’t want it to be the case but genuinely speaking his decisions are mental. Rashford on the right has NEVER worked. Our best LB should be played there, get Varane or lindelof next to Maguire. Martial had a decent game against Everton, then doesn’t play in midweek and is then brought back in against a resolute Newcastle? How does it make sense. Dalot is barely a defender so why play him out of position? Amrabat has not lived up to any playing ambition but he is the only DM, MCT offers nothing but shooting like Gibson did.
It’s just mental management, terrible from him, the arrogance of the management is just poor. In game management is diabolical, no improvement from manager or players in 12 months is a concern. Antony, Onana, Mount, big big money and the manager cannot get a beat out of them. He pushed and pushed and kicked for all three yet I don’t see the benefit a ball playing keeper, I don’t see how bringing in Mount has brought in transformation and I certainly see nothing that Antony offers that any top level winger should offer.
The players are an absolute joke, right now I would not be against manager and many players being dumped.

We can't compete against any decent side. Villa would make quick work of us and im dreading the Liverpool game. We need a change of ownership above all else because I've no faith that replacing ETH would yield better results because these players are diabolical at times. There has to be a change of direction and that has to start with a mass sell-off. When players know there futures are on the line, you'll see a different approach. It's too comfortable playing for this club.

Just to say, for all the talk of Maguire’s resurgence, we’ve conceded 3 goals on four occasions with him at the heart of the defence this season. He’s shite, slow and doesn’t have any organisational skills. Had a good game against Sheff United and the media were all over him again.
Infuriates me seeing him in the starting eleven because he should have been sold in the summer and some actual quality brought in after.

The gap between defence and midfield then midfield and the forwards is just far too great and he’s doing fuck all to change it, get them 10-15 yards further up, keep them as a tighter unit, tell Bruno to stop going beyond his striker to start pressing, it leaves a gaping whole in behind him, those are just a couple of simple points
As for rashford, for me to say he was diabolical and the worst performance I’ve ever seen from a United player when we have martial on the pitch at the same time says it all

It's too comfortable playing for this club. This is my argument for backing the manager. I think it’s worth doing purely to show the players they won’t oust another one. Down tools all you want, but you’ll be gone before he is. You’ve very little leverage over a footballer nowadays as a manager. They’re earning five times as much as you for a start. Job security is massive in that sense. But then again, I’d have done this with Ole. Would’ve flung every single one of them under a bus ahead of a man who gave me one of the best moments of my life.
