Thought some of the moaning about the McTominay sub in here was a bit strange. It was 2-2 I believe and he does have a goal in him. Mainoo at this stage of his career does not. Agreed though, I quite like the idea of those two together. Maybe not robust enough against decent sides away from home though. He's not good enough but given the options we had it made sense to bring him on. Just thought it would have been for Eriksen and not Mainoo. Yeah, makes sense in terms of Eriksen not having much energy, but I guess more likely to get a goal or contribution from Eriksen than Mainoo. |

When fit Erickson should always start ahead of Mctominay. He needs to be gone in summer. Thought some of the moaning about the McTominay sub in here was a bit strange. He abandons all midfield and defensive duties which just exposes us to open runs on our defense and because he wonders like Bruno I think it zaps our play making abilities |

But I agree generally with the reviews of him and his ability. |

Missed the match and saw the replay now , good win. We pressed well in second half , Rashford looked better. Super happy for Hojlund and Garnacho.
But we still need to create much more chances.
Hojlund still needs to get more service,around 63rd minute Garnacho had an excellent chance to square it to Hojlund and he tried to take it on his own.
Anyway it will all be pointless unless we can kick on from here.Not the first time we have seen this team put in a good performance only to return to type.

Also everyone instantly look better when Eriksen plays ,but he will struggle when played 90 mins regularly.
We really need a younger replacement to him.

You’d hope Mainoo can be that deep, ball playing presence in the midfield alongside someone like Casemiro. However, it’s up for debate whether Case will reach the heights of last season when he returns. We need several decent players in there really, starters and reinforcements. Midfield has been threadbare for 15 years. |
